can I use my disney visa points in down town disney?

I will be using our disney visa points for most of our meals in disney. Just wondering if the stores and resteraunts will honor it in down town diseny? any info will be greatly appreciated!
The last time we went to disney we ate at Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom and when we went to use of disney visa points they said they were not a part of disney.

Certain restaurants are Disney owned, others are not. I know that Captain Jacks is and you can use your Reward Points there. I also know that Fulton's Crab House is not. Hopefully others with chime in about other restaurants.

We always pay the big bucks to eat at Fulton's because we love the theming and the service and the outstanding seafood.

We also really enjoyed Captain Jack's on the Dining Plan two years ago. The twin lobster tails were a fabulous deal on the dining plan!
