Can I use husbands ticket?

This USED to be true, our family would switch our AP's around pretty regularly (sometimes by accident and sometimes on purpose just to see what would happen). However, now they've they gone from the v-finger scan to just the fingerprint, the machines don't let us through. Each member of our family had to have their own AP. The new scan must be storing more info than previously.

What happens if we were there last summer but now going with different scanner and want to use unused days I don't know which ticket is mine and which ticket is husbands.

You are suppose to sign the backs so you can keep them straight.

There is no where to sign on the back of ours. They are the hard plastic kind we bought 2 years ago. On the back is only info about what the card is.

This happened to me went down for Daytona race and disney. We went one day and I had grabbed DW ticket tried to enter was an AP . They said it was not my tic and even though I was registered as having an AP had to get mine.So had to drive back to room to get pass to enter i would not take any chances with your tickets.

That's too bad and was a wasted trip (and time) for you.

Here's how to handle that the next time:

Immediately go to Guest Relations window just outside the gate.

Show them your legal photo ID and tell them you left your AP back at the room (or at home).

They will instantly print you a new AP and cancel your old one on-the-spot.

Go right into the park with your new AP and have fun.

When you go back to your room (or home) later, just destroy your "old" AP.

We've had our AP's replaced a couple of times.

Its SO easy!

Thanks Robo this was the first time with an AP and trying to figure all my option out still.

I have never done this...but I would think if you had an OLD pass - the kind that you just ran through without any finger scan -- there would be no prints in the system. And if your husband wanted to use the rest of it. They may now scan it as it is used again to get prints.

This was the reason they went to the finger scan, to keep this from happening, but I believe it could be done--right or wrong?!

I'm surprised (and very sorry) that the CM's at the gate did not tell you about the Guest Relations replacement of AP's.

Its one of the biggest advantages of HAVING such an expensive ticket... Disney will "help you keep track of it."

I left mine in a FP machine at AK, the kind where they have added COVERS directly over the ticket slots... which make the tickets hard to see as they come back out.

Anyway, we hopped to MGM, and I opened my wallet and there was ONLY my DW's AP !!!

I immediately realized what I had done, and jogged over to Guest Relations window.
I told the CM what happened, showed my photo ID and within 30 seconds, I had a fresh new AP!
Jogged back and jumped right back into the line with DW and we went right in to see Fantasmic!

Cool!

It was opening at AK and there was so much confusion she may have not even thought of it cost me 30 minutes thats it. So youlearn more each time and now won't make that mistake again.

Debbie,
My wife and I have accidently switched tickets many times. I can't see it as much of a problem. Don't worry about the puritans who are always quick to jump on an issue like this. :sad2: Really, you are not trying to rip off Disney in this instance. One or another adult is going with your daughter depending on how you feel. That's NOT the same as sharing a gym membership. Disney is NOT losing money on this case.
:rolleyes1

If you had read carefully you would see I was responding to another poster who thought they should be able to give their ticket to their niece or whoever they wanted. That is simply not the terms of purchase and Disney DOES lose money in that case. :sad2:

I purchased a 3 day pass back in April, it has one remaining day...In April they had the 2 finger scanner.
I know they have the single finger scanner now...Will I have a Problem as well as the rest of my family that also purchased 3 day passes?

I disagree in this particular case, because we're talking about the husband using a NEW 5-day pass, and the OP using an OLD 4-day pass, and then one of the husband's days. It would be a completely different situation if my GF and I accidentally switched our tickets, because they're the same. Also, note the difference between 'accidently' and 'intentionally'. It's not the same.

I wouldn't go so far as to say the OP is "trying to rip off Disney", but what's her reason for asking this question? She's trying to save money by avoiding buying an extra day for her old 4-day hopper. It may not be much money, but it's technically against Disney's rules, and it's being contemplated to save a few bucks. Let's at least call a spade a spade.

It's probably a moot point anyway, because the finger-scan should prevent her from using hubby's 5-day ticket. Best bet would be to have the husband use the 4-day ticket, and OP use the 5-day. Or, get a Dollar Credit for the OP's old 4-day pass, and apply that towards the purchase of a 5-day ticket.

No problem.

Not sure how the scan works. DH on last visit used different fingers at different parks and was admitted without problem. He does not like the Big Brother is watching you thing.
