Can I use DME without a flight??

We will be staying at Disney for 3 days before our Carnival cruise from Port Canaveral.
I will be taking DME to our hotel, but want to rent a car to drive to PC.
The cheapest car rental I found for 1 way is from MCO.
Can I take DME back to the airport even if I wont be flying out that day??

Yes. No problem.

To speed up the reservation process, have in mind a flight number, any flight, any airline, leaving about 3 hours after you want to leave your resort. The reservationist-CM may or may not ask for this.

As a registered guest at a Disney-operated WDW resort, you are entitled to use DME to return to the airport on or before your check-out day. Of course, most people will then hop on a flight, but you don't have to. You can stay at the Hyatt or at a nearby hotel, or you can rent a car and continue your Florida vacation.

There's no need to pick a bogus flight. In fact, that might just confuse things if they try to check you in for a flight that you're not actually booked on.

Some Disney cast members, including some Disney resort reservation agents, may not know this. So you're best off dealing directly with Disney's Magical Express Guest Services at 866-599-0951 to schedule the pickup time for the motorcoach ride from your resort to the airport.

You should receive your Magical Express reconfirmation the morning of the day before checkout. If this is missing or wrong, get it (corrected) down at the front desk that morning before checkout before heading to the parks.

Once you have this reconfirmation you are all set. No need to worry about flight confusion.
