can I use curbside check-in...

I have never flown American Airlines before. On Northwest, you couldn't do curbside check-in unless you had Electronic tickets. We have regular tickets for American. Does anyone know if we can use curbside with these? If you can, do you have to wait in line to check in, or can you go to security and check in at the desk plane-side? Can you tell I haven't flown for a long time? Doesn't take long to forget procedures in my case. Anybody want to talk me through this?

they ahve reinstated curbside checkin here in pit. so check with your airport or call the carrier you are flying and ask them.

Before Sep 11 yes there was curbside check-in. Since then there was a ban placed on curbside check-in which is apparently is now being lifted to some extent at some airports, so check with particular airport. If you can do it, as long as you have tickets, you can go through security and then check-in for seat at gate area.
