Can I use a room only discount code against a package I've already booked?

Can anyone help me out on this one please? I've booked for the DDP plus park tickets and accommodation all through Disney in the US. If if see a room only discount code that coincides with my stay can I use that against my booking?

It wouldn't hurt to call, I've changed a room only to a package before with a PIN, but not the other way around. They are two different booking systems, but sometimes the code will transfer.

In the states you can be a AAA member and get the AAA room discount applied to a package, but need to reserve this through a AAA agent. Can't do it through disney. If some special discount comes out for your dates you can certainly call and see if it can be applied to your reservation. Never hurts, worse they can do is say no.

You might have to cancel one reservation to book a different one if the discount is good on room-only vs. package, etc. -- so the only thing that might get you in a bind is the timing as there might be some penalties if you try to change too close to your check-in date (45 days). But call and check because depending on the promo you might still come out ahead even with a change fee (or could end up in a nicer resort).

Your room only discount code should have a package equivalent. It would be easy to change your existing package to the discount package code without having to cancel anything. Just call disney and ask. This is all assuming you booked with disney and not a travel agent, they would have to call then.
