Can I use a 4-day PH like this?

We're planninig on using 3 days of our 4-day parkhoppers while staying at the Grand Californian. Then we want to go on down to San Diego for a few days. Then we come back to Disneyland for a day, staying off-site. If it's an early entry day, can we do EE? (This is in June, coming back to Disneyland for the Tuesday after Pirates is supposed to re-open) We'll want to make a bee-line right to Pirates as soon as possible.

Yes your park hopper ticket has EE day even if you aren't staying on site. Assuming you don't already use it you will be able to use it on tuesday. Pirates will not be open during EE though but since you will be in the park already you can make a beeline for it a few minutes before the park opens.

if your issue is that you arent sure you'll be able to use the fourth day aqfter you leave for san diego. you have 14 days (i think) after you activate it to use all the days.

I'm pretty sure 14 days it right - it says on the back of the tickets. You should be fine.

Yeah - knew about the 14 day window. Can you only use the EE feature once on a multi-day pass? I heard that EE is usually on Tues, Thurs & Sat. Can I use it on all the EE days? or just once with that pass?

While you will be fine to use the last day (as long as it is within the 13 days after first use period) to get into EE, Pirates is not included in EE. So get in early. Enjoy the first 45 minutes of EE in Fantasyland land and then position yourself to head over to Pirates.

The EE on your pass is for one day only. They have been allowing resort guests to use EE on all days while staying at the hotel. If you use EE on one of the first 3 days when you are a resort guest, I don't believe you will be able to save the regular EE for your last day when you are not a resort guest. Is that what you were asking?

Someone previously posted that, even though they were resort guests, their tickets were checked off for EE on the first EE day they used. Then when they tried to use it again (as resort guests) some CMs said they couldn't go again (apparently unaware that resort guests have been allowed to use all EE days.)

I'm not sure if you try to do EE on Tuesday, for example, they will check it off your tickets or not, or allow you in by showing your resort charge receipt. If the ticket EE is not checked off as 'used', you should be able to use it when you stay offsite. If it is checked off as 'used', you will not be allowed in for EE on Thursday as offsite guests.

I would keep my room key just in case. CM do sometimes request a paper receipt to varify if you are actually hotel guest. My bet is they will ask for the receipt, since Pirates will be opening that day.

I live in LA and have been to DL tons of times and Pirates is a ride that always has either a very short wait time or the line moves incredibly fast. Don't worry about that one.

But as the OP mentined (I believe) pirates has/will have been closed for several months for a "remake" of the ride (adding a few new set pieces and "small changes" to the story link) to tie into the movie(s). And she is going the day after the ride re-opens. So I would expect the lines to be a bit longer then normal due to that.

I would agree with disneychrista. It will be very busy for a few weeks. It is during the summer season and a much beloved ride that a lot of APers will want to get on to see the changes.. I know in the past it has closed for a long periods of time. This time may be different with the tie in from the movie. That is what Disney is banking on.
