Can I Upgrade Park Tickets to Park Hoppers Online?

Bought 2 day, one park per day tickets anticipating getting OBB tickets for our third day (silly, silly me!!). Now I’d like to upgrade our tickets to 3 day park hoppers. Cant figure out how to do it online or on the app. Is it possible or do I have to call or upgrade when I get to DL?

I have to add that the DL website/app is severely lacking compared to WDW!!

Can't do it online. What people have been able to do is call, purchase the more expensive option they are seeking, and then receive a refund for the tickets that are being replaced. You can also upgrade at the ticket booths, but then you run into the (likely) possibility that reservations will not be available for your dates as reservations will not carry over to the upgraded tickets.

When I did this last year, I initiated the change using the Chat feature in the Disneyland app. The CM had me buy new tickets, tell them the new and old ticket confirmation numbers, and then I was refunded the amount for the tickets I originally purchased. Original reservations were cancelled and I had to book new ones.

It is so ridiculous. But not as ridiculous as the time I wanted to do the same thing, but I had purchased my tickets from Target and Disneyland told me to print out my e-tickets and physically mail them to an Anaheim address as part of the process. I clarified with 3 different CMs in the Chat because I thought it was so ridiculous.

I had purchased the tickets from Undercover Tourist so I contacted them through the online chat. Very helpful as I was able to purchase the new tickets and then they cancelled the other tickets, issued my refund and also waived the 5% cancellation fee.

I did have to call Disney to unlink my cancelled tickets but that only took about 5 minutes.

Do not wait until you arrive! Reservations will very likely be sold out for Halloween time.

I recommend starting a chat through the app. I have done an upgrade this way with success in the past (and they even managed to get me a reservation at the same time since they were going quickly and they might have sold out before my transaction was complete).
