I purchased (2) 6 day Park Hoppers with water park fun & more option for our DS & DD for our trip in Feb. DH & I already have Annual Passes because we just took an anniversary trip at the beginning of December and then will be going in Feb. We had such a great time when we just went that we are planning a trip for next Dec. and now I would like to have APs for the kids as well. Can I upgrade the Park Hoppers when we get to Disney in Feb. and if so, how do I do that and how can I find out the price it will be to upgrade? We do get the AP discount because of being DVC memebers. Happy Holidays :wizard:

Yes, you can upgrade your hopper tickets to AP's. When you arrive at WDW, visit any Guest Relations booth at any theme park, and explain what you want to do. You will only pay the monitary difference between the two tickets (for example, if the AP costs $300 and your hopper ticket is worth $200, then you will pay $100 when you upgrade ($300 - $200 = $100).

Enjoy!

If you go into water parks, etc. with your MYW ticket with water park fun, your upgrade to AP must go all the way to premium AP.

Don't forget to do the upgrade before you return home in February and preferably not at the last minute before your Magical Express bus leaves (more specifically, within 14 days of first usage).

If the hoppers you would like to trade in are unused then yes, the amount you paid for them can be applied to an AP at Guest Relations.

The DVC member price is on the member site.

If any of the days on the hopper were used I would suggest using the pass as-is since the MYW tix are so "front heavy" that there is usually little value to them in terms of an upgrade.

Don't forget your blue card & ID as you will need to prove membership in order to receive the discount.

If your MYW ticket was used but not used more than 13 days ago, its gate price is applied to the AP you are upgrading to, and that AP's commencement date is the first usage date of the MYW ticket.

(MYW tickets used more than 13 days ago, and used pre-MYW tickets, may no longer be traded in or upgraded except for child-to-adult free exchange by the original user.)

Thank you all so much for your help and info:thumbsup2 Now another question: Can I do this upgrade to APs at the hotel or only at a park ticket booth? We are at the Villas at Wildreness Lodge. FYI: the tix are unused MYW 6 day park hopper plus with water parks, etc and we would want Premium APs. Thank again and have a magical day:wizard:

Your best bet, IMO, is to go to Guest Services (either DTD, DS or Epcot). It can't hurt to ask at the hotel.

In Sept I traded in an old, unused 4 day hopper (pre-MYW) & the full purchase price was applied to my DVC AP.
