Can I upgrade at resort to a warterview?

I think I will spend my money else where.A fountain....water view my god. Unless they can clarify it is a river view I will forget it.

As far as reservations go, the only thing you can guarantee is "water view." In the central reservations system, there are no sub-categories for lake/river, pool, fountain, or drainage pipe.

However, there ARE such categories in the system at the resort level. In other words, if you pay for water view and ALSO put in a request for a river view, the POR room assigner might notice this, and then is able to assign a river view room, not because he/she has memorized the room numbers, but because there are different codes for the different types of views in the resort-level software. Same thing for courtyard view versus parking lot view -- no way to reserve one of the other, but you can put in a request on your reservation for one or the other, and the exact room can be assigned as such if there is availability, and if the the room assigner notices and feels like doing it.
