I am a DVC member and my family and I are heading to OKW in about three weeks! :yay:

We currently have 6-day Park Hoppers. Is it possible to upgrade those tickets to APs and still get the DVC discount? If so, am I able to do that at my resort or will I need to go to Member Services at one of the parks or DTD? Also, what would be the approximate cost?

Tried to call DVC MS, but the CM was not so helpful (putting it nicely). :sad2:

Any assistance would be so appreciated. :thumbsup2

I don't think this will be a problem. You'll have to bring your purple member card along with some photo id to any GS location. Indicate what you want to do, they should then price the ticket using the DVC discount and apply the amount of the 6 day tickets as a credit.

Have you used the tickets yet? You can only upgrade within 14 days of first using the tickets. If you haven't used them it won't be a problem.

Yes, we did that a couple of years ago. At that time, and things may have changed...
We were asked to do it on the last day of our ticket use. I believe it was because we had the dining plan on our tickets and there was some issue if it was done with the dining plan.
Like the previous poster said you have to do it pretty quickly after the tickets expire.
Good luck and wishing you a fun year with your pass!

Thanks for even more info! :thumbsup2

We have not used the tickets yet. I did purchase the tickets prior to the ticket increase last August. So, if I understand correctly, it is better for me to use the ticket for at least one day in order to lock in the current gate price on our 6-day Park Hoppers before we upgrade to DVC Annual Passes.

I knew I came to the right place to get the best advice! :flower3:

That is correct..be sure to use it first to gain entry and then go to Guest Relations to upgrade to DVC AP! They even refunded me $3!!!
