I hope I make sense. I bought the "Maxtor" to back up my pictures. It said 58416 MB copied, 20,201 files. Anyway can I unplug it and then plug it in again when I wanna use it? It's a laptop so I want to be able to move it around. Oh I also gave up trying to sort and organize the photos and just backed them up. I'm such a perfictionist that I don't get anything done.:lmao: Thanks for any help.:worship:

I use a Western Digital back up drive for the same thing. You can certainly unplug it and use it on another computer. I use mine for my desktop and laptop. Just make sure you power off the external drive before you unplug it.
