OK, here's the situation...we are flying down to Orlando in a couple of weeks to do the closing on our new home we built there.
We will be staying in the house for a couple of days afterward to get a jump on paint, etc before we pack up and move down.
Here's the question...I will need to take a bunch of weird stuff with us on the flight down: drill, paint supplies, 2 cans spray paint, other misc tools, etc... Will they allow me to put this stuff in my checked luggage? Or is Security going to think I am some lunatic and pull all of my stuff out of the bag and make me leave it? I really need to take this stuff with us, so I do not have to buy duplicates when we are down there. We are flying out of DTW and you cannot see where they screen the checked bags like you can at MCO, so I am especially worried about this.
What do you all think? TIA!
