HI! We will be staying at OKW in early Sept. and for the first time, I will not have a car! I was wondering if the ferry that goes to DD makes a stop at SSR. I though we might go for a visit and hit the food court area.

When I asked MS, he did not seem to know!! So I figured all of the experts here would know!

THanks.

It sure does. When we stayed at SSR we visited OKW by doing just that. I loved the tropical feel of OKW and Olivias was great too!

Yep, the ferry goes between OKW and SSR and so do buses and there is a pathway too. Now, for a question...Why would you want to go to Artist Palet over Olivias? :p

What bus runs between OKW and SSR? I always thought you had to go to DTD or a park, :flower: and then transfer.

To answer your question reOlivia's and Artist Pallette: We couldn't afford Olivia's every day!
We always go to Olivia's even if we are not staying on Disney property -yes we sometimes do stay off property. So I am sure we will go there at least once. However, we alwasy like to visit some of our other homes and use the amenities or restaurants there.

Actually, Nezy, I was just being funny. We personally didn't care for Artist Pallete. It just didn't offer enough variety for us.

As to the question about the bus, yes, you would have to go to DTD first, and the ferry would be better for going to SSR. I probably would think the fastest way would be to take the path, since the ferry isn't that frequent. We really loved taking the path when we stay on South Point, but it is a bit of a hike if you stay on the other end of the resort.

I haven't been to Animators yet, so I don't know. I'll try anything once--almost!!

Diana-I see you are in Minn. My neighbors are there now-near the Mall of America for a baseball tournamnet for their son. It seems very hot right now!

It has been horribly hot and humid all summer. We are supposed to get storms tonight, so that should break the heat and humidity a bit for tomorrow. Are the tournaments in Bloomington? I guess I only knew of the tournaments in Fridley, and that is quite a ways from the MOA. It might explain why the MOA was so crowded yesterday though! Usually Monday is quiet, but it was a mad house there yesterday!

Where is the path from SSR to Old Key West? Or even the one to DTD from SSR? I was just there but did not have time to explore. Will be able to explore more in January. Thanks.

Well count me the leader of the "I Like Artist Palette Fan Club". :cheer2:

The brownies alone are worth the trip as is the key lime pie and carrot cake. I found the Chef's Specials very good as is the turkey ceasar sandwich and the flatbread pizza.

The meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes offered sometimes on the special was yummy.

I thought the food at AP was good and interesting, but I could see that it might be TOO interesting for some people. We had good sandwiches, a flatbread pizza, and soup. The service was spotty when we were there in Dec. Some great staff and some others were not paying attention to customers.

The path from OKW starts near building 55 and actually ends either at the CDS parking lot, or you can cross the bridge and end up behind DTD.
