Can I Still Eat These???

My hubby picked up 2 packs of mozzarella sticks from Schwan's at school for their fundraiser. He left them in the car for a full 24 hours.

I told him to stick them in the freezer for now until I could ask my DISbuddies whther or not they are any good now.

If they thawed out; no I wouldn't eat them.

What's the temperature like in your neck of the woods?? And was the car parked in a garage, carport, or in direct sunlight??

I think the most obvious answer is going to be no. Because well, people get disgusted out by things like this.

Hmmm.... temps near the 60's. If the car was parked in the shade. I'd toss them in the fridge and eat them when they're cold again.

Yes I would eat them.

2 reasons:

1. Technically speaking, cheese does not have to be kept in the fridge. When you throw a cheese party, you should actually have your cheeses at room temp.
2. It's cool enough outside where even if you don't believe in number 1, the cheese should still be plenty cool enough for it to be safe.

I would, too.

Then again, DH left about $20 worth of Yoplait yogurt in the shopping bag on the countertop overnight. Found them about 8 hours later, put them in the fridge, and we used them with no ill effects.

Yes, as long as they are still sealed/vacuum packed, you can still eat them.
