I know, im not a disney pro. NEVER been there, but we are going. I was just wondering if you had to stay on site to get the ddp, or is that an addition to your disney park tickets?

Do OOP the way the plan is now with no app. and paying tip, just pay as you go and order what you want. Then you would have the choice to get the app and not get the desert.
2 rooms at POP is not a bad deal.

How old is your youngest? There are family suites at All Star music for 6 plus baby under 3 (right?)

We were thinking of the suite ASMU but POP (2) rooms beats that price. Although it doesn't have the kitchen area if you are thinking of doing some meals there. By staying on site you either get the transportation to the parks or get free parking at the parks if you decide to drive to the parks. We had AAA diamond parking last year so driving to the parks was great. Well other then MK you only can get in as far as the transportation center then have to take the boat or momorail from there.

DARN! ! ! We have a family of 7 and there is no way were paying for 2 rooms.

Sometimes two rooms at a value resort are cheaper than larger accomodations offsite. The benefits of staying onsite just can't be beat! We stayed onsite for the first time last month (we always thought offsite was so much more economical) and won't ever stay offsite again. Not having to rent a car, deal with the parking lot and trams, and getting into the parks an hour earlier just blow all offsite hotels out of the water. The convenience of staying onsite is even better when you have kids. Don't rule out onsite. Just check different options and try to go during value season :thumbsup2
Then you'll be able to do the DDP.

Remember when booking two rooms that if you want connecting rooms, you must request connecting rooms. And it's not guaranteed except to parties with one adult and several children.

There's also the Fort Wilderness cabins which I think would accommodate 6 plus a baby.
