Can I shower at the SSR Spa?

Ok, so here is my question. DH and I are taking a last minute one night trip down to the world next saturday. We decided to take the trip yesterday, since it is so close to the date and only one night, we decided to forgo using our points and stay at All-Star Music instead. We really aren't going to be there to enjoy the resort, just to take in one last Kungaloosh. Here is my question. We were planning on spending a few hours in the parks on Sunday before heading to a wedding in Daytona. We (of course) don't want to go to the wedding all sweaty or with park hair :scared1: I was wondering if we might be able to shower at SSR before we head over to the wedding, even if we are not staying there that night. We own there, and we pay dues and spent a nice chunck of change on the resort, so I hope we'd be able to use the spa facilities for a quick shower even if we did not have a reservation for that evening, but, this being Disney, maybe not. If not do you all have any alternate suggestions for where we can clean up before heading to the wedding?

I don't know the "official" answer, but you can pool hop as a DVC member and use the shower/fitness center facilities at that resort, so I'm not sure that I see much difference. You might get a look or two from the spa CMs, though!

I believe the spa is free to use for DVC members staying on points or if you were staying at a Disney resort that had its own workout facility you could show your KTTW and use SSR Spa free.

If you are staying at All Star on saturday night and want to use the SSR Spa on Sunday, you are still considered an onsite guest, but technically you will have to pay the day use rate, which I believe is less than $15 each.

My advice would be to use SSR spa and be prepared to pay the day use rate. You will have access to the lockers, showers, hairdryers, vanities etc and you can get ready in a nice relaxing environment.

You can pool hop only if staying on points.

I never thought about using the showers in the workout center. Wow! Thanks for the tip. I don't go to the parks the day we leave because I don't want to travel sweaty. What a great tip!

Staying at All Star Music means you don't have access to pool hopping or using the spa showers at SSR! Your membership & dues pay for the nights that you actually stay there (or at other resorts using your points) and not extra nights when you're staying somewhere for cash. Think about it - what would stop the local dvc members from using the SSR pool and spa as their private property??

I believe WDW resort guests can use the spa for a fee, which I'm assuming includes those at All Stars. So, you can pay to use the facilities and use the shower....but you can't do it for free.
