Can I see a room at AKV?

I have a quick question--Can I go to AKL and see the AKV rooms? Are there rooms there for people to tour? We have already done the presentation and I have a guide, so I would rather not do the presentation again. We told our guide initially that if we bought it would be AKV(they weren't selling there when I saw the presentation), but we wanted to be able to see the rooms first.

Is this possible? We are going to be there in two weeks.

Thanks!

Rachel...it sounds like you had the presentation before they were selling AKV? If so, you can just go over to SSR and view the AKV room models there. You don't have to go through the presentation again...just let them know you'd like to see the AKV rooms. They have the studio and 1BR there and they are truly stunning.

Be prepared to have your credit card ready. If you are close to making the purchase decision those rooms will take you over the edge! :)

Thanks! Do I need to set up an appointment and what are their hours? I know you may not know this, but I thought I would ask.:)

Thanks!

You should be able to just go over there - but I'd call your guide so they could tell when would be best.

I'm guessing you are in the Midwest - you could always also drive to Schaumburg, IL and see an AKV room at the Doorway to Dreams store in Woodfield!

An appointment is suggested, but DH and I just showed up and got to see the AKV rooms.

Thanks for the help! I'll call our guide to let her know what our plans are.

Yes, we are in the Midwest--Lafayette, IN. How did you guess?;)

Well, unless you are in Maryland, most of the Colts fans are down I-65! I was at the Monday night game myself (cheering for the other side though!)

If you don't want to do an "official" tour, the AKV models at SSR are open 5-7pm for general viewing, even without a guide. :thumbsup2

Hey, we were there, too! I can't believe it's less than a week until the season kicks off!:cool1:

We just showed up in May during the open visit hours for members, and the new rooms are very nice. I love the bathroom tiles!

Yep, daily the models are open from 5-7 pm at SSR and you dont need to schedule or contact your guide.

Sometimes if you go during the day, during Guide hours, it is really busy with the guides and whole families touring and you dont get to linger because you feel like you are in the way (you are! :goodvibes ) so I highly recommend going during the open house hours.

I like to walk thru at least twice every time Im at SSR:love:

Cool! We had seats right by the 10 yr line on the Bears side. Too bad the pregame stuff outside was rained out!

When you are next up in Chicago, do stop by the DVC store in Woodfield. It is pretty cool.
