Can I Say I Love Dvc

Hello my fellow DVC members, I have to say DVC is the best thing i have purchushed ever. We just got back form a faboulous 21 day vactaion ( june 30th - July 16th) had a blast we are a family of 5 3 teens me and my husband . Now just today husband came home and surprised me with a getaway with just me and him ( ohh no wonder why i married him ) we are going to OKW from august 25- 29 and yes there is availability for us in a studio ! so if i havnt said it before I LOVE DVC . sorry just very happy hehe

We stayed at SSR OKW and AKL now we drove 21 hours to florida it was great loved it and the kids well there teens didnt care either way . We got to SSR at 11:30 and can u belive it our room was ready yeah yeah . So after being happpy I have to say i was disapointed in SSR. The room was spotless we stayed in a 2 bedroom lockoff , wow small small i have to say we were all over each other . Also requested ground floor husband has med poblems and we were on the 3rd floor far from elevators . But it was very very clean I have to say that . So we stayed there 2 days and moved on to OKW ,for 10 nights and all I can say is WOW, we had the best time there , first the room a 2 bedroom was huge could almost lose my kids in there hehe and the patios were huge and we got a ground floor yeah . we were in 4814 and loved loved it , then we moved to AKL our home resort ( also my fav resort ) well i have to say i dint like it at all grrrr. furniture way to big felt crowded again ( 5 adults ) and we were on the 5ht floor wich i knew we would be being DVC but wow could they put us any further from the elvevators so after 2 days hubby couldnt do the hallway we called member services and they moved us to SSR first floor omg can u belive that and gave us points back I have to say koodos to memeber services they understood my husbands contiion and were very nice about it , second time around I loved SSR would go back in a hear beat to either SSR or OKW and now i am going back to OKW . so that is my trip report if any questions let me know

That is sooooo awesome. Yes....those OKW units are lovely.....so spacious.
I have read many reports that AKV feels small....and the furniture is to big....hopefully Kidani will be better. Glad you loved SSR on the 2nd try...which section were you in...1st and second....for SSR and OKW?

Did you go to parks everyday....did you cook? Did your kids think this was the best trip ever?

We stayed in the springs both time in SSR , had a great view on all the reosrts. We did parks on EMH had a blast parks we not that busy compared to the day time .And YES kdis had a blast and they think we are the best parents ever ( well for now anyway ) lol. We cooked lots of lunches some dinners , we went to trail end buffet loved loved it great food ect. We also did resort hoping went to all the DVC resorts and mods , have to say loved them all . All CMs were so nice had a great time hope u get that magic when u go HOME

I didn't care of AKV either, but I think it will be a different story when KIdani village is done. We own at the BWV and I just LOVE it there. We also love VB too.

If you love the beach VB is heavenly!!!! And its only 2 hours from Disney!! Its a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the parks - very relaxing!!

i'ts a quick trip but so happy to go finally with no kids lol, that green eyed monster can stay home when you go back hehe and i'm sure he will find another shoulder to sit on
