Can I rent a car near PP??

I am going to DL for 14 days in Aug. We are a family of 5. I was originally going to rent a minivan a LAX but I don't know what I did with my rental car info or who it was with I did it months ago and I thought I had an email message with info but I can't find it. And I have been checking the rates and YIKES!!!. We want to do a few sight seeing ~ La Brea Tar Pits, Hollywood, Legoland, and a beach day. I have been thinking about doing Disneyland Express to & from LAX and renting a car for a few days to do the sight seeing. What do think?? Is this a good solution??? Is it doable?? I still can't believe I misplaced the rental car info. I can't even remember who the reservation was with but I'm sure it was propbably one of the big names. Thats what sleep deprivation will do.

There is an Alamo directly across the strreet from the DLH.They share the parking lot with the GCH self parking lot

Unfortunately, I didn't have to enter CC info to make the ressie. I'm pretty sure I made it using either a BJ's or Costco code so I'll try to call thise companies and see if they can track it through my email address.
