Can I rearrange points?

I currently have a split stay booked at my home resort for Dec. (6 nights at AKV Jambo and 4 nights at AKV Kidani.) To book this stay I used banked 2016 points, 2017 points and I borrowed 49 2018 points.
I am in ROFR on what I hope will be my second home resort (VGF) and if that contract closes before the 7 month window opens & there's still availability, I'd like to cancel the Kidani stay & book those 4 nights w/ the new VGF points @ the VGF. But it's the AKV Kidani reservation that used the borrowed 2018 points - can I substitute those 49 borrowed points into the AKV Jambo reservation, so that I don't end up w/ 49 borrowed 2018 AKV points that I need to use before 12/1/2018?

Member Services can reallocate your points. You can email or call them to accomplish what you want to do.

Please have in mind that borrowing is a final transaction and can't be reversed (normally).

With that being said, some members has in the past had luck calling MS and MS has "unborrowed" the points. So I would call MS as it never hurts asking.

I do a similar type of reallocation fairly frequently although usually when I've been keeping some points back in the previous UY and then end up banking them. It would work the same for the borrowed.

Can member services reallocate points across different contracts. So suppose I book one night with my SSR contract. Can I call them up and have them use my AKV points instead for the reservation? All assuming everything is within the seventh month window.

If it's on the same UY membership and there's availability for those dates at 7 months. But not across memberships.

Could they do something like cancel the reservation and rebook it with my other contract without loosing it? I do have different use Years, but I'm trying to find a way to make use of four waitlists instead of just two, but in the end I only want to use my AKV points.

No, they wouldn't cancel and hold a room. You might be able to transfer AKV points over to your other UY then they could reallocate to the reservation - assuming it wasn't one made during the home resort priority.

I had a confusing situation in which I was using banked, current UY, and borrowed points that got even more complicated when I bought an add-on with banked points. The bottom line was that I wound up with unused banked points in my account. I explained the situation in an online chat on the DVC website - and the CM detangled everything, arranging it so that my unused points were for the current UY - and much more valuable for me.
