Can I Really Keep My Mouth Shut For The Next 6 Months? Update 6/4 Link to TR

I just read through your pretrip report and loved it. The theme nights are great! I can't wait to see how the surprise turns out. You have a lovely family. Keep the info coming!!

:welcome: Thanks so much for reading my report, I'm so happy to have you along!

:yay::yay: 11 Days Until Disney :yay::yay:

Today I am looking forward to our dinner at Teppan Edo.

I really think that the kids are really going to enjoy dinner here. We ate here back in 2002 with Christian and my DN but the younger ones have never been and I just know they'll love it. I also think that I'm going to do the pick a pearl with Emily. I'm going to look on ebay and see if it's not to late to get the carriage holder for the pearl, if so it'll be here for us when we come home!

:welcome: Thanks for joining in! So glad your reading along! Where are you from in MD, we live in Crofton. Thanks about the theme nights, I have really enjoyed doing them for the kids and we're going to continue them after our trip!

:thumbsup2It IS a Small World. We live in Millersville but eat out in Crofton/Gambrills all the time of course! I nearly cried when I learned the Damon's there had closed. We LOVE the Big Fish Grille though! :)

Ok time to catch up on the rest of your posts that I've missed! :)

That's so funny that we live so close! Believe it or not we only ate at Damons a couple of times, one of the managers from there came to work for my DH when they closed. Big Fish is good too but we've only gone there a couple of times too, with 4 kids our dinners out tend to lean more towards Ledos, lol.

:cheer2::cheer2: 10 Days Until Disney :cheer2::cheer2:

Today I am looking forward to going to Downtown Disney!

I finally decided that we are going to cancel our ADRs at Boma and go to DTD instead. There was only one night that we could really get down there and I know Sam especially would be disappointed if we skipped it. He loves the Lego store and while we have one in our mall it just doesn't compare. I also love to get new ornaments from the Christmas shop and I really like the kitchen store they have there, I'm slowly moving Mickey stuff into my kitchen, lol. And of course no trip to DTD would be complete without sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich :lovestruc

:woohoo: for 10 days!

Have you (or will you) do online check-in?

I love EoS! And I can't wait to see the new Lego store!!! :cloud9:

I love, love, love EOS. My lucky DH got to have it in January when he went to Vegas, I was so jealous!

WOO HOO We have hit single digits!:banana::

Today I am looking forward to riding Dumbo!

Dumbo is one my favorites, it is always the first ride we go on in Magic Kingdom.

So I've finally reached the single digits and I'm silently doing the single digit dance all by myself since I can't tell the kids, :rotfl:. While Christian has been doing the countdown with me, DH is mainly just counting down how many days of work he has left, lol.

I've been working on my to do list but there's still lots to be done. The rain has been a dent in my plans a bit, today Sam was supposed to have a feild trip to the zoo. DH took off work to go with him since I went on his last field trip. Well because there was a 90% chance of rain and thunderstorms they rescheduled the trip for next Tuesday, which of course DH won't be able to go on since he can't take off of work. So I will have to go, normally I would be happy to do this but we leave 2 days later for our trip. I was hoping to have all day Wednesday to finish up any laundry and clean the house, which means any running of errands had to be done by Tuesday. So now this will all have to be done by Monday. Keeping this trip a secret is getting harder everyday since I have to do everything while the boys are in school and at night when they've all gone to bed!

Here's my to do list

Get schoolwork for the boys to do while away
Haircuts for Christian and myself
Get DH's truck cleaned, we're taking his Durango rather than my minivan because there is more space
DH wants to replace winsheild wipers and check air in tires
Tip envelopes for mousekeeping
Finish getting snacks and breakfast items for room
Get Sam's perscriptions filled (have to wait until the 22nd for this)
Pedicures for Emily and I:lovestruc
Clean house and finish up any laundry
Pack

What I did yesterday was

Got Emily's haircut
Got mail held for the time we'll be gone
picked up the few things I needed from the dollar store
ordered things from Sam's Club for DH to pick up next week

Oh and of course I still need to finish planning our reveal night, I don't know why I'm stressing about it but I'm now second guessing surprising them. I am really praying that Sam takes it well, Ben and Emily will be fine but Sam is my little planner and I'm afraid he'll get stressed about the surprise. :scared1:

I just did online check in this morning!

I love, love, love EOS. My lucky DH got to have it in January when he went to Vegas, I was so jealous!

:woohoo: for online check-in!!!

I hope you made DH sleep on the couch for eating EoS without you. :lmao::rotfl2:

And I'm joining in the single digit dance!

:banana::banana::banana:
:dance3::dance3::dance3:
:dancer::dancer:
party:party:
:jumping1::jumping1::jumping1:
:maleficen:maleficen:maleficen
:rockband::rockband::rockband:
We all know every good dance party needs a band!

I know its frustrating to cram everything in at the last minute, but you'll get it all done. :hug: Enjoy the field trip, it will be a blast!

I'm right there with you on keeping my mouth shut and having to pack and organize in secret. DS is out of school (his last day was Friday) and he just walked in on me packing. I could have swore I locked the door. :lmao: He asked if I was doing laundry and I told him yes and he went back to watch TV. :lmao:

Can't wait to hear about the reveal! I'm getting excited!!!!

Fingers are crossed that Sam will be excited instead of stressed! Do you have something to let him "plan" in case he does feel the need? Maybe it will ease his stress? Regardless, can't wait!!!!!

I :love: EoS! But my youngest does not. She doesn't like the bread. Strange child! And Teppan Edo - that is one of my ADRs for my free dining trip. We did it with the girls back in 2006 - and they loved it. I was surprised by how much they liked the seaweed salad and the edamame!

And Yippee :banana: for single digits! I can imagine that these last few days will be crazed as you get it all done - and get it all done by yourself. I updated my PTR with my reveal - and it didn't go over so well with my youngest. She said we LIED to her! She did get over it. And rather quickly!

Doing the single digit dance with you! :dance3: Looks like a busy week for you, but the end is so worth it! Take a few moments to breathe and for a nap...you must be rested for Mickey!

I'm home and you're about to leave!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: (that dancing is for you...not for me. :sad1:)

Oh single digit dance, what a fun and anxious time. Getting excited because almost everything is in place, making mental lists of things to do and then crossing them off in your head, having weird dreams that are nearly impossible to come true (like flying to Disney, but then waking up at home :rotfl:). I can't wait to hear about the big reveal!

Also, jealous you'll get to ride Star Tours! I just found out today that Star Tours might have maybe possibly been open yesterday for a "soft" opening and we could have maybe gone on it. And we were at DHS!

Hope these next nine days are awesome - and :thumbsup2 on choosing DTD and earl of sandwich over Boma. Boma was disappointing last year, so we skipped it this year. And earl of sandwich was delicious. Always busy, but always good. Didn't get over to the lego store, but it looked awesome!

Doing the single digit dance over here for you :banana::cool1::banana::cool1::banana: wishing I could tag along :rotfl2:

Thanks for sharing in my joy, your more than welcome to tag along!:cool1:

Definately looking forward to Teppan Edo, I don't know about the seaweed salad for my kids but they love edamame. Do you have a Trader Joes by you? They sell this incredible chocolate covered edamame:love:

I still can't believe your DD cried, I'm so scared Sam will do something similar:scared1:

I should have made him sleep on the couch but believe me on a weekend with a large group of old fraternity brothers in Vegas, EOS was about the tamest thing they did:rotfl:

Thanks for dancing with me, 4 days for you :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I think Sam will be ok with the plans, since they know we are going this year they talk about what they plan on doing on a daily basis. It's missing school that I am afraid he'll be upset about. I know can you imagine a kid would not like to take a week off of school?:lmao:

Hooray for single digit dance and getting errands done!

Your home, I can't wait to hear all about your trip!

Those mental lists are driving me crazy, I'll be lying in bed in the middle of the night and think of one more thing I need to get done:lmao: I have been having some off the wall dreams lately but none Disney related so far, lol.

I read that they were doing soft openings this weekend of Star Tours. My BIL and SIL were there on Saturday and were also bummed that they didn't know about it. I'm sure Sam will make us ride it several times so I'll think of you while on it;)

I definately think I'm making the right call about Boma. We ate there back in 2002 when we stayed at AKL and I remember liking it but our ADR is so late and I'm thinking since we have an early day the next morning I'd rather do DTD and get to bed at a decent time.

Yep, I know one my over achiever dd... She going to die when she realizes that she is missing the first 3 days of the new semester in January because of our trip...do not my fault I went off my public school calendar dates thinking the diocese would follow the same vacation (like they usually do)... Surprise they are releasing for Christmas 3 days before me and going back 3 days before! GRRRR... The boys will think it great, dd on the other hand....

Ok, glad to know that Sam is not some freak of nature:rotfl: I was a really good student in school but I had no problem missing it for Disney, lol. I know Sam's main issue will be that he's missing out on something and he'll also be afraid that he going to be in trouble for missing school. His teacher is going to write a letter telling him that it is ok to miss school and she hopes he has a great time. Of course both Ben and Sam's teachers are getting packets of work together for them to do.

Another great movie night... I can't wait for the reveal! I found the candy tea cup idea a few weeks ago and planned to have the kids make them too! They look great! You are a hard act to follow each week! :worship:
LOL I agree it is so hard to keep up with anything like either of your movie nights though!!!

I told my son about the lego store and he is so excited about it too! So we are taking a 1/2 day there! Oh man only a few more days now!!!

I KNOW! I can't believe she cried either. Then again. She's 13 and hormonal ;) and had her heart set on Six Flags. It didn't take long for her to realize this was so much better!

I can't believe how quickly your day will be here! We are going to Washington DC tomorrow - and I still haven't packed...but I am working on my TR update!
