I don't know why I'm having such a hard time finding out the answer to this, LOL. I wondered if you have to carry it on or if I can put them in my checked luggage??? I called Delta and after sitting on hold for over 20 minutes...the lady could not understand much english and could not understand what I was asking~ugh! So, hopefully I can get a faster answer here~thanks!

I would think that as long as it's not a hazardous material and you don't exceed weight limitations on your luggage that it should be fine. But of course, that's just a guess.

I'm not sure why you would ship down bottled water when you can stop at a grocery store and get some while you are there? Wouldn't you rather use the space for packing clothes?

No problem in either checked or carry-on luggage.
Have a great trip :D ......

I'd rather not pack the water but we are flying into Orlando and a bus is taking us to Wilderness Lodge...and they wont stop at a grocery store. And we don't want to stock up on it in the park. We actually packed light and have plenty of room in our suitcases, so that's not an issue. I just didn't want them to have to emergency search our luggage because of some water, LOL!

Sha! Pack light??? My wife does not know those two words. lol

As an alternative, why not get those Brita filtered water bottles? We'd get ice from the ice machine in the morning (or the freezer if we were in the villas) and fill the whole thing with ice and a little water. Stayed cool quite a while, and they're easy to lug around in the parks to drink.

Have fun at the Wilderness Lodge, you will love it. It's our favorite resort.

Be sure to put your water in sealed bags. Air pressure can do funny things to containers sometimes.

Disnee dad Says...........................Why transport water, when you can get it near WDW, maybe for even less than you paid?

A Lipton's soup that gets you 4 to 6 servings a box, can be bought for maybe $1.19, and takes up the space of a camara, is a good deal. Water is never a good deal. Bring a brita if you need to, but no bottles of water.

Adding bottled water to your luggage will add significant weight. I personally, would be too scared to check it for fear of it exploding due to the air pressure. It is advised to not pack food in your luggage and I wouldn't be suprised if your luggage was opened for inspection to check the contents. It would be easier to use netgrocer and have items shipped to the Wilderness Lodge. Or like others have said get a Brita water bottle with filter.

water in her suitcase......she had no problems and was able to enjoy her favorite water at Disney.......she would get up in the morning...put ice in her ice bucket and then get ready for the day....after breakfast her water bottles were nice and chilly......hers did not explode in her suitcase either.....but on the safe side.....why not put them in resealable plastic bags....and that way you can distriubute them in areas in your suitcase

We used the Brita bottles too last time, and it was a great idea. I would not want the weight of the water in the suitcase, and with my luck.... I KNOW one would explode!

I have done this - just got the 2 gallon zip lock bags - just watch how many you put in a bag and in each suitcase

I've taken as many as 8 bottles before with no problem. Just wrapped them 2 at a time in large ziplock baggies. That way I had my water without having to pay the huge prices or for a cab to get us to the store, and when I came back I had enough room for suvineers. :)

LOL, I've got 32 bottles of water dispersed between three pieces of luggage that we will check and 4 backpacks that we will carry on! I put three bottles of water into the heavy duty, gallon zipper bags and there are maybe only 9 bottles per luggage...my hubby thinks I'm a lunatic by now. They are not too heavy as we packed very light...I plan to do laundry...so this means we will have tons of space to bring back souveniers (I wont mention this bit of info to hubby:0) I've been looking for the brita bottles for the past week after reading about them on this board but the only place I can find them is online and I decided not to order them. The water issue is a huge deal to me, as that's all I drink and I drink a ton of it a day!
