Can I purchase an AP pass for someone else?

I was going to make use of my current FL residency and purchase some AP passes for friends for Christmas this year.

Can you do this? or will they all be in my name?

Each Adult that purchases must have an id with there name on it and be there at the time of purchase. So, you will not be able to purchase any type of florida resident passes for other individuals who are not fl. residents..

Yes, the user of the AP must be present, with ID, when the pass is activated. For the Florida Residents' pass, the user must be a Florida resident.

edited to add - you can buy passes for other people (regular AP passes for non-Florida residents) but you can't get them activated without the user there.

You must also carry photo ID with you to the Parks so you can prove who you are if asked.
Proof of Florida Residency for each adult is required for purchase and use.

Proof of Florida residency is required -- you must provide any one of the following:

Florida driver’s license

Florida state-issued ID card (must have Florida address)

Florida voter’s registration card with corresponding picture ID

A college ID for a Florida college

Florida-based military ID

How does it work for children? (Who have no ID) Would you have to prove they are a resident as well?

Seems like a alot of work for not that big of a discount.

as long as the adult purchasing has a current fl drivers license minors don't need to show id...at least that is the experience I have had in the past...
