Can I pay for everything with Disney Cash/gift card?

We are going to WDW next month and I'm trying to figure out how to manage the money. We like to put everything on our AmEx, to get the rebate, but hate having to manage all of the receipts(I pretend I'm using it like a debit card so I don't overspend).

So, can I just buy a gift/cash card with the Amex and use that for Everything we purchase in the parks-food(even walk up counter serv., ice cream carts),parking,gifts,etc.?

Any other advice?

Are you staying at a Disney Resort? If you are you can charge most everything to your room with your room key and then pay it off at the Resort. That is what I prefer to do and just pay with my Disney Visa so I get the reward points.


But if you are not at a Disney resort then yes, you can get a Disney Gift card and reload it when needed. There are a very few places that you will have to pay cash--usually just a snack cart here and there. Pretty much everywhere is set up to take good old American plastic!
