Can I modify a resort reservation with MM tickets?

I have two SSR RESORT Studios booked for Sept 10 - 17th. I have confirmed moonlight magic tickets for four people in one studio and two in the other studio.
With Southwest flights, not working in my favor, I was thinking of modifying my resort reservation to a one bedroom from September 9 to September 13 and then just going to the studio Sept. 13 - 16 (Jet Blue flights work better). For the other studio I have no idea if my kids are coming so I may just modify that to a few nights. Does anybody know if this is possible? Have they ever done it? Thank you.

You can modify the reservation since it keeps it the same reservation number. You can not book onee for those dates and cancel.

I have changed the resort we started with because RIV became available and was told via MS..in writing that as long as there is no change in the reservation number, it will be fine.

Thank you. I think I will book the 1 bedroom separately and modify the studio with MM tickets to 9/13-16th. The 1 bedroom preferred was available over the weekend for 9/13 so probably could have booked the whole week in 1 bedroom. Oh well… I will keep checking and not that big of a deal.
