Can I make an ADR for someone else?

A dear relative of mine is taking a last minute trip to WDW. I was playing around with ADRs on my MDE app and scored a hard-to-get one for his trip.

I put the ADR in my name with him as the other member of my party. Can I change my name to the actual person who will be with him? Or must I be one of the guests dining?

They will be paying cash regardless.

You won't be able to take your name off it, but so long as it's not PPO he shouldn't have an issue.

If they don't show up, you're the one on the hook for the no-show fee.

I know. He won't stiff me.

I think I'll leave it be, but another question--Is there an advantage to preordering besides the meal taking less time?

YOu will skip the ordering line, and if folks who are wish you washy when they decide their meal, or who cannot figure out how to use the kiosk and refuse help annoy you, it is a benefit. I get both of them in front of me all of the time! If you are in a rush, then preorder. That is one useful tool to getting in an our in a timely manner. But if you just want to relax, I do not bother. I tend to decide what I want while I am in line.
