Can I link a separate ticket to a package?

I have an existing package reservation (with a discount) that includes tickets. There is a possibility that my daughter will join me (and stay in the hotel room- there’s only two of us so there’s room) for just the last two days. Is it possible to buy just a two day ticket for her and link her to the reservation for the purpose of making FP reservations at 60 days?

Yes. As long as she has a valid ticket and she is linked to your MDE (either as someone you manage or as part of your Friends and Family), you will be able to make FP for her at your 60 day mark. She does not have to actually be on your reservation in order to do this. You just need to get FP for both of you - you don't be able to book one for her by herself.

Once you arrive and check in, go to the front desk and have her added to the room reservation. You can do that after checkin without affecting your package in any way (package restrictions don't apply after checkin), so at that point she won't have to have the same type ticket as you, and won't have to have the dining plan (assuming you have it). She'll then be eligible for DME and they'll give her a magic band when she arrives.

Have fun!
