Can I just say- working from home ROCKS!

I've been home sick from my "day job" this week. The doc thought I might have pneumonia but I think it's just a nasty virus and with my asthma it has really thrown me on my butt!

But thanks to the wonder of the internet and the help of my daughter's laptop computer- I've been able to work my at home job between naps and without getting out of bed!

I did this when I went through chemo/radiation. I moved my entire office home and talked via telephone with my staff. My assistant delivered required paperwork back/forth. I did it for almost a year. While I'll forever be grateful that I was able to do this, I was definitely glad to get back to the real office.

My 2 jobs are completely separate- but I can see how helpful it would be if you could do your office job at home in that situation!

Yay for you and I hope you are feeling better! I have been sick for 7 days---fever, cough and have pneumonia. I already work from home but I do hair so I have not worked until today which is quite "iffy" at that. but email has helped me in all the rescheduling I have to try to do.

I wish I could work while in bed in my pjs too though!!!

I actually just got a job which will allow me to work from home full-time, once approval for my laptop goes through (LOVE bureaucracy! Hmph.) The other 2 people who were hired at the same time I was already have theirs and thus got to stay home the last 2 days and not deal with the traffic nightmare that downtown St. Louis was because of the All-Star Game and Obama's visit...while that was miserable, it was kind of nice to be down here in the atmosphere and everything, so I guess all's well that ends well.

Still, I so can't wait until the day I get to work every day in my jammies!
