Can I hold two reservations for different restaurants at the time?

In August, I made dinner reservations for Chefs de France, at which time the MC assured me it was going to be on the 2008 dining plan. Since that time, I have found out that it isn't on the list currently, but the list should be finalized sometime in mid November. My question is whether I should make a reservation for another restaurant in order to get the time I want or if I should hold tight and wait another couple of weeks to find out. Is having two reservations even possible? Let me know what all of you think. Thanks!

I added an ADR and did not intend to cancel the original one that I had scheduled for about the same time until I confirmed with my DD ( I was breaking a first night tradition). I never even told the CM about it, it was under my DD's name and it had her telephone number, but the CM would not let me have the new ADR until I canceled the old one. I don't know if this is a new policy buy you should know it can happen.
