I'm thinking of making an ADR for Garden Grill, it would be the only character meal for our 5 year old. What is your experience there?

We went in July 2010, it was good, the food was family style (one larger plate with the food that you pass around). The characters were good, Chip and Dale, and the most interesting thing, the restaurant moves in a circle slowly. You get to see some of the Land. I liked it and I would go back again.

we went last week and we loved it!! CHip, Dale, Pluto and Mickey.. very good character interaction!!! sat on the lower level and they visited at least 2 times!

The food was very good and they were very accomodating... getting DH salad without egg/bacon and no dressing... pretty quick with seconds and thirds even ( my family loved the salad!!) Our waitress was awesome and we were lucky that our family "opened" the restaurant for the day and were greeted by the characters and got a group photo taken with all of them together! It was a magical surprise!!

Much better character interaction than the other 2 meals we did with characters... CRT and CP

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We had a good time too, we went with a couple picky eaters and they had a difficult time with the adult menu. When the server noticed that they weren't eating very much he brought out a childrens platter which went over extremely well. We were very appreciative, I almost felt like the meeal was a waste until the server saved it with chicken and mac and cheese. Dessert was to die for, sooooo good.

Thanks everyone, I booked it.

What is the dessert? I cancelled this to reserve Le Cellier for the CP. Then I cancelled Le Cellier and the CP and went with Chefs de France.

Now I am wondering if I should go back to GG. :rotfl::confused3:rotfl:

I had a peach cobbler with vanilla cream and everyone else opted for the kids dessert mickey mousse...

Oohhh...both sound good but I am partial to mousse, especially chocolate.

I am so not an adventurous diner and I have to say that at some of the restaurants, the desserts actually sound a bit intimidating. :hippie:

DS has an egg allergy... so his dessert was a scoop of Oreo cookie ice cream with 2 oreo cookies pushed in it to be Mickey's ears. I think that was a standard dessert item though. DS was happy with that! Our dessert was apple currant crisp with a scoop of ice cream on top. We are not big dessert eaters... but both were good.

I am not adventurous either... if you eat at 50's prime time the Boston Cream Parfait was REALLLLYYYYY GOOOOOD!!!

Go Back.

We ate at both last year and felt Chefs was just okay. GG was AWESOME. (have never eaten at Lecelier)

went here last year and the food was amazing. there is something for everyone and I found the Mahi Mahi to be my favorite. A few tables around us moaned about not having enough food, i don't think they realized they could ask for more as it is a buffet after all. Don't be afraid to ask for more of anything. We ended up asking for more bread during our main course and nothing was a problem. Adults can request more items of a child's platter as well. I have always found this restaurant to be highly accommodating and the characters are brilliant. The fact the restaurant revolves as well just adds the experience of this restaurant, its well worth it

We went in October 09 as a family of 7. Enjoyed it very much. We had free dining and ate at a lot of restaurants we had never tried before. Garden Grill was our favorite. Loved the salad. The waiter brought us extras of everything, definitely had enough to eat. Characters were great, our then 3 year old
DGD and 8 year old DGS really had a good time. Will definitely put it on our list for next May.

We love Garden Grill. The food is good and the kids enjoyed the characters. We are eating at Garden Grill again next month. Can't wait! :)

Your recommendations were taken under wing and I, yet again, changed my reservations from Chefs to Garden Grill.

I do much more changing of my mind and I'll never remember where I am going or when. :rotfl::confused3:rotfl:

Can I ask, is the mound on top of the adult dessert ice cream or whipped cream?? It only says cream everywhere I looked and I never see it melting. If it was freshly whipped cream that would be AHmazing!

It is vanilla cream not ice cream and it was delicious!!!! I could have eaten a bowl of that alone... LOL:thumbsup2

YUMY! Thats what I was hoping for!! The person who posted the pics said that they kids dessert was ice cream and there was a scoop of ice cream on top of the dessert for adults but I didn't think that was true!
