Can I have TWO GAD FP cards on the same day?

We have 6 people in our group with GAD vouchers and only 4 park days. We already have multi-day tickets and we're not interested in the figurine. Will Disney let two people from the same party cash in their voucher to get FP's for our party of 6 on the same day at the same park which would result in all of us having two FP cards to use at the park that day? We don't have/want hoppers.

TIA!

From what I understood, 1 voucher (for FP option) will be good for up to 6 people in your party.

I don't have a definitive answer for you, but I don't see why not, but that would be SO COOL.....:cool1::thumbsup2:goodvibes

Have a great trip!!!!

I know that. What I'm asking is if two people from the same party can exchange their vouchers for FP cards for the same 6 people. I know Disney takes the tickets of all the people in the party and I assume scans them or in some way attaches (or maybe just notes that they were issued) a FP card.

Will the system allow the same person to have two FP cards on the same day at the same park? Can I exchange my voucher for my party of 6 which includes my mother, for example, and then my mother exchange her voucher for her party of 6 which includes me? Or will the system/CM say "too bad, you already have a FP card for today"?

We did this one day on our recent trip, except we used one in the MK in the morning and a second at AK in the afternoon. We received a very hard time from the CM at AK on using the second voucher. When you redeem a voucher for FPs, they swipe each park ticket to ensure that it is a valid ticket. In doing that, the fact that you are getting the first FP of that day "attaches" to your park ticket. Therefore, when we tried to use the second voucher, the system initially did not allow it. She eventually called a supervisor over who authorized it and overrode the system, so we were able to get the second set.

Therefore, I think you might have a hard time getting the second set in a day, but given that you have 6 vouchers on a 4 day trip, I sure would try! If the CM can't/won't do it for you, make sure to ask for a manager. Be very nice and hopefully they will override it for you.

Those FP exchange cards are awesome! They saved our trip for us on days that wound up being unexpected 10s on the crowd calendar.

Can you explain how these special FP work? We have 2 vouchers for the 2 of us. When we redeem ONE voucher we'll EACH get a FP for that park for that day, right? One FP for the major rides for EACH of us ... that will go on our park ticket?

How do we redeem the FP that we want to use for that ride?

Is it a regular FP that makes you come back at a special time?
Is it a FP that lets you hop to the front of the line?

I'm really confused on this issue? We're going Apr 30-may6. thanks for any help!

I'll do my best to explain it, although there are some people on here who are far better at explaining it than me.

You and your traveling companion (let's call her Jane) each have a voucher. On day 1 you will go to any of the 4 main parks. You will go together to the will call window. You will turn in your voucher and how your photo ID. (Jane keeps her voucher for today.) Tell them you want to do the fast pass option. You will then give the CM each of your park tickets - both yours and Jane's. Once they confirm that they are each valid multi-day tickets, they will return your tickets to you. They will also give you two green GAD Exchange Cards - one for each of you. Now, you each have your park ticket plus an Exchange Card. Each exchange card is good for that day only, and only in the park where you received it. Each card has on it 6 FP credits - 3 for the more popular rides (these are called "Donald" credits), and 3 for the less popular rides (these are called "Daisy" credits). These credits on the FP exchange cards are in addition to the regular FPs you can get with your park tickets. They are also good to ride immediately after you swipe it in a FP machine, rather than later in the day as with the FPs you get from your regular park tickets.

On day 2, you and Jane will go to another park (or the same one if you want), turn in Jane's voucher and show her photo ID, let them verify both your park tickets, and get 2 more green GAD Exchange Cards. These, of course, are good for that day only at that park only. They have the same number and type of credits as the ones the day before, except they attach to rides at that park.

Does this help?

YES it does clear up many questions swimming in my head - Now just one thing: how do the credits work? Can I use 3 credits PER ride or one credit for each ride. regardless of grouping?

For the OP...yes, people have managed to get more than one FPXC at a single park at a time. It does seem to require supervisor intervention sometimes...and will probably get quizzical looks from the CMs and jealous looks from other guests :)

I answered this in the other thread you posted in, but you get 3 credits, TOTAL, per group (Donald/Daisy). You use one credit to get a FP at the attraction in the appropriate group. You can use all 3 at one attraction if you wish, or spread them out on different attractions.

We redeemed GAD vouchers for FP cards at DS and then later on at AK on Friday the 26th. When the CM scanned our tickets at AK, she asked if we'd redeemed another of our party's vouchers earlier in the day.

They know - their computer system gives them a full breakdown on the family's GAD entitlements. We said yes of course, which was no problem. The friendly CM called over a lead to over ride the computer, then happily issued our next set of GAD cards. There's nothing in the fine print that indicates you can't do it, so as long as you are polite and ask for a lead, I suspect you'll ultimately get your second set of FP cards.

Now to throw a wrench in my original question... what if we have a party of 12? Will they make us use two GAD vouchers to get everyone a FP card? I would imagine they might frown if we only show one voucher and they are nice enough to give our entire party of 12 a FP card... then someone else from our party tries to cash in their voucher for the same party of 12. Hmmm... should we try it or not???

No, somewhere the rule statess that the GAD FP is up to a maximum of 6 guests per party.

So, you are correct. You would have to use one voucher for the first 6 people, then another for the second 6., for a total of two vouchers for 12 people. They wouldn't give you 12 FP cards with one voucher.

They keep the GAD voucher after you hand them the 6 valid park passes, along with the picture ID for the person that the voucher is issued to. As mentioned they attach the FP's to the valid park passes per person, so there is no way to get around the maximum of 6.

Actually, if you check another thread, no one has had a problem getting more than 6. They don't actually tie anything to your ticket - they are scanning to make sure the tickets are valid and they are marked has having gotten a GAD Fastpass, but the cards you get are independent.

In SignMeUp's case, however, they are talking about turning in TWO vouchers to get TWO FPXCs each for 12 people. And I think the CMs might balk at that...officially, the maximum is 6. They seem more than willing to spread some pixie dust, but I think this is an extreme case...

OOpp.

I just saw that too, that people were reporting that they were getting GAD FP's for more than 6.

I know I read somewhere that there was a maximum of 6 per voucher, but saw they weren't particularly sticking to that rule.

Can I ask how late in the day you went to redeem your fast pass for the GAD voucher?
I am going in July with my family, and we plan on park hopping. Would like to save our GAD fast pass for the park we visit in the afternoon, assuming that it will be more crowded than the morning park. I have seen other posts on here that you have to redeem your GAD fast pass by 11:00 am or they are all given out. Was hoping we could wait until 2:00 or 3:00 to get to our 2nd park and redeem. Has anyone had any luck waiting until afternoon to get into a park and redeem GAD for fast passes?

We redeemed ours at DHS at about 12:30pm, as we went to AK first during an extremely busy Spring Break.

We didn't have any problems, as mentioned even if all the regular FP's for the day have been given out, they still have the GAD Fastpass machine available.

Disney states that the FP cards might not be available after 11 am. No one on the DIS has reported being denied after 11, and many have reported getting FP cards in the afternoon (I seem to remember someone posting about redeeming for FP cards at 2 or 4 pm.).

I can't tell you for sure that it won't be a problem on your date, but it hasn't been a problem yet and we have made it through the Spring Break crowds.
