We're talking about 2 women in their mid-30s who have never been and might never go again. They will be there for 4 days, but only want to spend 3 doing theme parks. They will be with me (the super planner) who has been once before (but who is researching everything to death!) and another friend who has been many times, and lives in the Orlando area.
Here are my questions:
1) Is it better to pick 3 parks and do them in depth, or do the 2 fave parks in depth (Epcot & AK) and park hop on the third day between MGM and MK so that they get the highlights of all 4 main parks (they don't care about the water parks or DQ)? Remember, me (the super planner) and our other friend will know where to go that has adult appeal, and we'll know the tricks for getting the must-dos out of the way early so that we can wander around at leisure.
2) Should we do 3 consecutive theme park days, or do 2, then take a day off, then do the third? Trouble is, the days are Weds, Thurs, Fri & Sat, so if we take a day off, we'll end up in the parks on Sat, which I didn't really want to do. This will be October, and MK will still be busy, and Epcot will be busy due to F & W festival.
3) What order to do this? We are staying offsite at the home of the friend who's been many times, so we don't have EE. Epcot's EE (assuming it's still on in Oct!) is Weds, so we were going to do Epcot on Thurs and AK on Weds. But if we skip Fri and do parks again on Sat, that leaves MGM and MK for Sat - no way to MK! Is AK OK on Sat? Maybe we could do MK/MGM on Weds, Epcot on Thurs and AK on Sat? Thing is, we wanted to do our faves first in case we got tired of the whole park thing, or got sick after 2 days - we then wouldn't have missed the best. So we're back to doing Epcot and AK in the first 2 days. OTOH ... MK is the original, and maybe the best place to start? We can leave when it gets crowded at lunchtime and head to MGM.
HELP!!
I should mention that we are all from the tropics and the heat in October will not be an issue at all. In fact, we might get a little cold at night!
However, we are not the fittest people on earth - we are average. How much walking around can we really handle given that the heat won't affect us, but our age
and average fitness level might??
