I am staying at Pop Century, but will be having breakfast at Grand Floridian on the morning I depart, can I arrange to catch the ME bus to the airport at the Grand Floridian? (My friend has her car so she can transport our luggage with us to GF.)

Does anyone know if this will work. Seems like a waste of time to have to go back to Pop to catch the bus.

Just reinforcing havencruiser's post (because many times, and I'm not saying the OP in this thread, posters don't believe just one person :)) no, you cannot arrange to take DME from a resort other than the one out of which you're checking - and isn't proper grammar SO awkward :teeth:?

Some alternate suggestions:
Stay at the Grand Floridian for your last night so you WILL be eligible to board the DME bus there;
Change your Grand Floridian breakfast reservation to a different day, or an earlier time;
Have your friend with the car drive you BACK to Pop Century in time to catch the DME bus;
Ask said friend to drive you to the airport.

ditto the two previous posts w/another suggestion to add to the great ones already given... take a cab from the GF to the airport... rent a car at the car care center and drive yourself to the airport... either of these suggestions will give you and extra hour or two or more to relax at wdw prior to departure 'cause DME makes you leave your resort sooooo much earlier than you really need to (but i totally understand, blah blah blah, i just hate all that airport waiting time)

DME makes you leave about three hours in advance. Under no circumstances would I recommend leaving WDW less then TWO hours in advance and depending on the day, your luggage amount, the weather ALL over the US etc, you may need 2.5 hours. (Yes, bad weather in New England or the midwest can impact MCO. All those folks with cancelled or delayed flights milling around clogging up the place.)

oh, i agree... we're definitely earlier is better people... but w/the time spent getting from the GF to PC along w/the time spent picking up at various resorts plus the 3+ hour rule, driving or cabbing it is often worth the money if you can put a "price tag" on wdw time! :)
