Can I have guests visit me at Paradise Pier?

As I have posted previously- I will be visiting Disneyland in late February along with my husband and 2 sons. I am also thinking of having my daughter and her boyfriend come for 3 days while we are there but I would put them in an off-site hotel to save on costs. My question is... while they are there will the be able to visit us in our hotel room or the lobby? I am wondering what the hotel policy is on outside guests. I really appreciate your help.:flower3:

They can visit you with no problem! I think they can even get free parking in the lot next to the hotel for a couple of hours. :thumbsup2

Two cars per reservation/room are currently covered under the "free" guest parking at the DLR hotels.

However, starting in 2011, there is going to be a parking fee of $15 per car (no more Resort Fee, though). So if you plan to have them park in the PPH lot, warn them about the parking charge. I guess it will be the same price as the parking at Mickey & Friends, but it will be more convenient to park at PPH if they are visiting you.

Or, I think you can still get 3 hours (or is it 5 hours?) free parking at Downtown Disney.

The DTD parking lot may be the easiest way to go. Though it is a little walk 5 minutes or so to PPH.

Absolutely! We had friends that lived in LA that came to visit us when we stayed at the PPH. They came to see us for dinner but they spent time in our room as well, there was no problem at all, we just gave them our room number and they came on in.

It's 3 hours free but you can get 5 hours free with validation at a DTD sit-down restaurant or the movie theater.

It may be easier to leave the car at there offsite hotel and just walk over to your hotel. I have yet to pay for parking at an offsite hotel.

Thank you all for the info! They will not have a car. I plan on getting them a hotel with a good shuttle service or they can walk if they are close enough.
Now one more question... would they be allowed to visit the pool with us? I don't know that they would- especially since it will not likely be warm enough in late February... but I was wondering if that was a possibility. Which leads me to another question. Has anyone ever been in late February and had weather warm enough to use the pool? I was just hoping that my youngest son would be able to try the waterslide.

Yes, they can go to the pool with you. I had friends and their twin boys visit me at the DLH pool with no problems. And you never know about weather in SoCal - it could be gorgeous in late Feb or raining!

I went for 9 days in Feb 2009, and we had both. Rain and pool days. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. Actually, I think having both is the perfect trip.
