I made a PS for the Crystal Palace for 8:25 am on July 14. The Disney reservationist said I will not be able to get from the Yacht Club to MK in time using Disney transportation. Any one know if this is true? Will the buses not be running in time?

Thanks!

As far as I know, there should be a bus to take you over for your morning ps's.

We have done it before from CBR for 8am ps.

I have the same problem. We have an 8:15 PS at Cp for July 20. We do have our car but DH doesn't really want to drive if he doesn't have to. I thought there was an early character bus. We'll be at POR. Has anyone used the character bus from there, and if so what time?

I think they all have early buses for this reason. Just touch dis transportant from your room phone and ask what time you should be at the bus stop. I think they run every 20 mins even before the parks open.

I would give yourself plenty of time. I would be at your bus stop about 1 hour before your ps.

In March we had an 8:05am PS at CP from OKW. We took the 7:30 bus and made it in plenty of time. The buses start running a half hour before the first bkfst PS of the day. It's no sweat.

Unfortuantely the search function is down, but somewhere on these boards, Tyler/ChipNDale Express posted that they do in fact have early buses going to the parks for early breakfasts. It was a great post with very precise information. Ill keep checking and try to find it.

I received that same information 2 years ago and panicked. I asked a bellman downstairs and he told me about the "breakfast buses". It amazes me that this info is still not being relayed correctly! You'll have no problems and thanks CamColt for the link to Tyler's info, I hadn't seen it!!

Thank you. Thank you. Great info. They told me on the phone that the buses didn't start running until an hour before the parks opened and that I would not be about to get to my PS on time.

Boy what would we do without ChipnDale (Tyler)!!! He's just great!! Honestly half the time (unfortunately the CMs at Dining PS have no clue) which is ashame. I went to make a PS for Garden Grille for dinner and wanted to do the "rehitching ceremony" and the CM had no idea what it was although he noted on our PS, I sure hope they do it (wasn't sure if they do this at dinner or not)--and most really don't know anything about the transportation issues.

So if I have a PS at the POLY for breakfast I'm guessing I will need to take the MK bus and then transfer to the monorail (or boat)?? That would take a while, I think we'll drive to the POLY on that one but for our early PS at AK (Donald's) we can bus it, cool, I just love these boards!!! Camcolt thanks for posting that wonderful thread from TYLER...we would be driving in circles without his wonderful transportation guidance!!!!!

From which resort are you commuting to the Polynesian? To get to the MK from the Poly, you take the monorail or boat directly - no transfers required. You cannot park at the Polynesian and go to the MK either since resorts only issue 3-hr bus passes. You'll need to park at the Transportation/Ticket Center and either walk (a very short walk) or monorail (not worth it, altho' kids might like it).

Thanks but we'll be coming from the Dolphin-I am familar how to get to the POLY from MK and vice versa- but I'm guessing like I said that I would have to transfer from MK to get TO the Poly because I don't think there's a bus that will go right to the POLY from the Dolphin (for O'Hana's character breakfast).

Actually I can park at the POLY, I will actually valet at the POLY since we're DDE members, we can valet park for free at any of the resorts we're dining at & we'll be dining at O'Hana's.:teeth:

Not sure what a 3 hr bus pass is?? I know they give cars 3 hr passes if you self-park (we've never been given a time limit for valet parking). But, we didn't really have plans to go to MK that day anyway.

When we were staying in FW I was worried we would never get to the CRT in time for breakfast so I called the front desk and they agreeded it was cutting it close so they sent a car in the morning to pick us us. So if you are concerned when you arrive ask at the front desk.
