We are taking our DD12 and our host child from Chernobyl to Disneyland this month. She has never even heard of Disneyland and with the language barrier we're having a hard time explaining it :confused3 I called guest services and they have brochures in 100s of languages but not russian? Any ideas?

This isn't the right time of the year, but you might be able to get some assistance if you have a college nearby.

Also, if you do a search on google for Russian +translation, you will find a lot of free translators. You type in text from some brochures and the site translates the words for you. Then you can cut and paste them into a document for her to read.
One way to check if the translation is sort of close to the original English is to translate it from English to Russian and then translate the Russian back to English. It probably won't come out exactly the same as the original English, but it should be close enough (there are some words that don't translate exactly from one language to another).

I'm afraid I didn't explain it very well (now who needs help with English?). Our group has translators and we've explained it to her as best we can but can you imagine trying to capture the whole meaning of it if you've never even heard of it? I was hoping there was a Disneyland travel brochure or something in Russian that would help. We've shown her pictures, etc but I guess I was hoping for something more touristy. I'm overthinking it as usual.

That's what I was meaning.
Go to any of the websites that have Disney information. Copy and paste the information to a document on your computer. Then copy and paste it to the Russian translation site.
There is also a book - WDW for Kids by Kids that you might be able to use for text.

We have been to WDW with many "newbees". We have taken foreign exchange students from Belgium, France, Albania, Thailand and Russia with us. Even though they were all older teens and could speak/understand English well, they didn't really 'get it' until we were there. We've also been there with relatives who I know had read some information (quite a bit). Until we got there, they didn't really understand either.
If you have shown her pictures and she knows where you are going and some basic facts, I wouldn't worry anything else.
