I know I was offered a cot when I made my reservation for ASMo when I mentioned I had 2 teens coming with me. I didn't need it as I have 2 teen boys coming at this point. However, if I bring my neice instead of my son's friend, would I be able to get the cot at BWV studio? There would still be only 4 people in the room.

i had the same situation a year ago, my 16 yr old son bought a friend with him and they didnt want to sleep in the same bed. so we bought along an air mattress.
that way we didnt have to pay for an extra cot.

There are no cots or rollaways available at the BWV's. Period. You are welcome to bring along an air mattress. The rollaways tend to cause a lot of damage to doorways and hallways, and members/owners don't want to pay for it with increased dues.

Thanks for the info on BWV. Just a quick question. If I bring an air mattress, will I have to bring my own bedding as well? Or can they supply me with sheets, blanket & pillow if I ask?

They will bring a couple extra pillows, but possibly not blankets. There will be one extra sheet for the portacrib you could use, but you're probably better off bringing your own set.

I am a member of the Vacation Club. Call down and request a room with a daybed. The villas were built for families in mind and there are several free things in the rooms of the villas compared to other disney resorts. I have a family of four, two children, one boy and one girl.. Some of the villas have daybeds in them. So you would get a queen bed, pullout queen sofa, and a daybed. The kids have their own beds.. No need to bring anything extra. There is no additional cost for the rooms with a daybed. But you need to request it on your reservation. There are two pools at the boardwalk, Luna park pool and a quiet pool. I would also suggest you request a pool view room of the luna park pool. The views are great. If you have any other questions about the boardwalk give me an email and I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.. Have a great trip.. You won't be disappointed with the Boardwalk!!!

I am also a DVC member at BWV and just an FYI, the daybed will never fit a teenager. It is about 4 ft long and 2 ft wide, it could fit a very small child like a toddler but no more, it is about the size of a portacrib. If the teenagers want seperate beds you will have to bring a air mattress or a sleeping bag. Also DVC resorts do not supply extra bed linens.

We had a rollaway bed in our studio when we were there. This was a room without a daybed. We are not DVC members, I just made the request and got it.

By the way, the sofabed in the studio is only a double bed, not a queensized bed. And if you did by some chance get a rollaway, there is not much room left in the the studio when you open up the sofa bed. You will have to use the space in front of the door to put your airbed. That's about the only floor space left in the studio.

Our rollaway was against the wall next to the armoir. Yes, there wasn't much room left when the sofa bed was pulled out, but it was fine with the couch set up.

Hi! I also have reservations at BWV 1/6-1/13. I have a 1 bedroom reserved. As I understand it, the bedroom will have a kingsize bed, then the living room area will have a fold out couch. Where would the "roll out" bed be located, and do all rooms have them? It sounds like a roll out bed would be ideal for our 3yr. old daughter. Also, do any of you have a favorite room at the BWV? Should I request a specific room? We usually stay at a moderate resort, so we are very excited about the Boardwalk! Any feedback is very much appreciated! Thanks!

You could also put the air mattress in the sink area close to the closet doors so that there would still be room to get in and out of the bathroom--in a studio. In a 1 BR the closet in the Master bedroom is very large you can easily fit an air mattress in there and just leave the door open.
For anyone counting on getting a rollaway cot at BWV, I would call first just to be sure. I have been staying at BWV since it opened and have always been told that DVC resorts do not have rollaway cots. Just like DVC resorts do not grant late check outs, since it is a DVC resort some things are different. I read that another poster did get a cot at BWV but that is very, very rare and the first I have ever heard of this happening. It was probably a rollaway cot that was brought over from the BWI side and technically it should not have been in a DVC villa.

Just to clarify, I was told at first that there are NO rollaways at BWV. But, we did get one.
