Can I get Coffee Ice Cream at WDW?

Maybe it's a regional thing, but the last time DH and I were at Disney, we asked around as to where we could get coffee ice cream on WDW. After a lot of head-scratching from CMs, and a suggestion to go to the supermarket, one CM (originally from New England) thought that coffee ice cream might be a regional favorite, and that it wasn't available in FL. Tell me it ain't so!

So I'm throwing this out to the experts? Can we get (our favorite bedtime snack) on WDW when we go in Sept?

Thanks!

Beaches & Cream appears to have it - I've read that they put it in the kitchen sink sundae, and I hate the stuff so I know it's one reason I'd never get the kitchen sink.

I believe The Fountain at the Dolphin also has a cappuccino flavored ice cream...not exactly coffee, but close. My mother DIES for it.

You can customize the kitchen sink. we always get ours only with vanilla and chocolate chip mint, and we also take off the pineapple topping and possibly one other one.

As a displaced New Englander, I can tell you that coffee ice cream USED to be a regional thing. People looked at me weird when I asked for it in NC 15 years ago. Now I can find it almost everywhere. If I could just get them to put jimmies on my icecream, it would be wicked awesome :rotfl2:

You can get coffee ice cream at Beaches and Cream. I have them switch to coffee ice in my No Way Jose sundae----very good

I had a very yummy sundae at Beaches and Cream last summer with coffee ice cream. If I could have gotten jimmies on it you're right it would have been wicked awesome. :lmao:

The Ghirdardelli Ice Cream shop at DTD has a flavor called Espresso Chip. My wife and I loved it on our last trip.

No jimmies? Probably the same poor people who never heard of a fluffernutter, either. ;)

DS17 said "wicked" at Prime Time Cafe, and our waitress was from MA...I thought she was going to start crying, she said she hadn't heard that word in years!

I'm not even interested in having ice cream flavors I like all melted together. I'll stick with the No Way Jose, love that (with NO coffee ice cream)

Some of these people really need to get out a little! I know we live in swamp country but really! :lmao:  :lmao: I've lived in Fl for 30 years and coffee ice cream is my favorite! It's certainly not hard to find and guess what, we even have different coffee flavored ice cream, Lattee, Java, Expresso! Florida's come a long way, we even have freezers to keep it in, who would have thunk it! :lmao:

I've had coffee ice cream at Beaches & Cream, Giardelli's and a few other places at the World! You should be O.K.

:rotfl: No kidding, I thought that was so weird. Why wouldn't you have coffee ice-cream??? It's not like I was asking for jujuberry ice cream or something! It's funny what opinions people have about what people eat....You know we Mainers eat nothing but moose and lobster!

So you know we'll be lappin' up coffee ice cream at least a couple times during our vacation!

You can find coffee ice cream at "the world." As far as regional foods go, it's so funny how that is.

What you call jimmies, in PA we call sprinkles. If I go to NJ and order a cheesesteak and ask for sauce on it, I get a funny look. You see, we put a tomato/ marinara sauce on our cheesesteaks.

Have you happened to ever heard of an ice cream sundae called a CMP? Chocolate syrup, marshmallow, and peanuts all cover a vanilla ice cream- it's so dreamy!

Jimmies are chocolate and sprinkles are colored..

To me jimmies are long and thin and a little bit chewy and can be either chocolate or colored, sprinkles are hard and round and smaller. Sprinkles are what you find on nonpareils (those chocolate discs).

And to me (a California native), all of those things are sprinkles. The chocolate are chocolate sprinkles and the multicolored are rainbow sprinkles ... and none of them belong on my ice cream! :)

Marinara sauce on a cheesesteak is nasty, what is wrong with PA. When we were kids I had my younger brother convinced that Jimmies were chocolate covered ants, to this day he only eats sprinkles.

Here's another ugly one....I have a friend in Virginia who puts barbeque sauce on lobster. She's a really nice lady otherwise!!

I like jimmies on soft-serve, but I like my regular ice cream un-decorated!
We like Hood, Giffords, Richardsons and Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Besides B&J, are any of those marketed outside New England? I read somewhere that New Englanders eat more ice cream per capita than any other region. There's nothing like sitting inside during a snowstorm, eating a big dish of coffee ice cream. My husband washes that down with Sam Adams! LOL!

I've been "summering" in Maine since I was in the womb (35 years this year) and I say "jimmies" but home if I forget to change it up to sprinkles people will look at me like I am crazy.

FWIW, coffee ice cream is my absolute favorite and I am a coffee ice cream connoisseur. I had the one at Ghiradelli's and it was really good.
