Can I get AP rate with voucher?

Hi,

Question for all you knowledgeable people. We are going to Disney June 25th and are staying at Pop Century for 3 nights. Then we are going to Saratoga Springs resort for a week. We are DVC members. We were going to relax at Pop Century and not do any parks. We were going to start parks when we get to Saratoga Springs. Ok, we are going to get AP's, but did not want to activate vouchers until we sign in at Saratoga Springs. Can we get the AP rate at Pop Century with just the voucher and not the activated AP? Thanks

yep. you just book asking for an ap rate. they are surpose to ask you for it when you check in, but all my years. never once have they! but they can just pull it up on the computer. but should not be a problem.

I almost always check in with the voucher, but I call ahead and speak to the manager and get it noted on my reservation.

My parents checked in with their voucher, and then went over to epcot after check-in to activate it.

However, I read somewhere on another board that you have 24 hours to produce the AP. I don't know if thats true or not. It would make sense to me though because since vouchers don't expire, theoretically you could use a voucher to get discounted rates for years without actually activating it.

I have never had a CM ask me for a voucher or the pass when I have checked in with an AP rate. I really wish all the front desk people would start asking for proof, though.
