Hi everyone-we are booked for Dec 8-17 and gearing up to go. We are going to bite the bullet and buy annual passes for our family as we have a wedding to attend at the World in May and want to go again for 2010 Canadian Thanksgiving. 3 trips justifies the cost of the pass to me, especially with the dollar right now. Here is my dillemma-Do I order the passes now over the phone and hold my breath hoping they get here in time? Or can I purchase at the gate or even better in downtown Disney? What does everyone think? thanks for any and all opinions

annual passes as the guest relations area at Disney Studios when we were there in September. We had purchased eight-day passes prior, used them for one day and then upgraded to annual passes at that point. It was very easy and the whole process took maybe 10 minutes at the most.
Hope that helps, have a great trip!:yay:

You can get them at the gates of any of the theme parks, at guest relations in the theme parks and DTD. Unfortunately, they are not available at the resorts.

We usually purchase/renew our APs at Epcot (International Gateway entrance) since it's less busy. :)

Do you have park tickets already? If so, you can exchange them and get credit for their cost toward your AP. As mentioned, there are Guest Relations in front of all the parks. Be sure to bring photo ID with you, and everyone getting APs.

I am thinking about getting an AP as well. I have an 8 day ticket with PH as part of the buy 4 get 3 free for January. Even though that's part of a package, will I still get credit for what I paid for the ticket portion towards the AP cost? I would assume so, but just want to confirm.

Unless the rules change or have changed, yes you can use your park ticket as credit for an annual pass. I'm sure if more people knew about it, more people would do it.

Save your ticket.

Thanks! With the price of the 8 day PH ticket, I think the upgrade to an AP will definitely be worthwhile. It essentially means, just 1 more visit in the next year, and I'd save money. ...perhaps even more if I strike an AP resort discount.
