Can I get an all-inclusive resort thru RCI?

And is there a difference in point cost? It looks like 270 points gets you a 2br villa in high season. Might be worth it if it's all-inclusive. Please forgive me if I've put this inquiry in the wrong forum. Thank you.

I just started looking into them in the Caribbean area. I called member services for some help when I was searching on the RCI site that is linked to our member site.

Thre is a cash fee paid directly to the resort for the all inclusive feature. It may be optional or mandatory. Points only cover staying at the resort.
Member services does not collect the fee - you have to find out from the resort when and how it is to be paid.

To see the fee you have to go to the RCI resort listing and click on where it says all inclusive. It will briefly tell you the cost and what is covered, which can vary resort to resort.

You can find all the all inclusive resorts in an area by using the filter on the RCI screen located on the left side.

Good luck

Some of the fees for all-inclusive can be really high.

As noted, the fees are extra and can be quite steep. I've seen them as high as $3700 for 2 for a week. Also, many often charge to the private occupancy on the unit even if that many are not present. The quality varies plus they tend to lock you in to their resort. For places like Cozumel, Jamaica and DR where there aren't good options otherwise they are generally OK, for places like PV, Aruba, Cancun, etc where part of the experience is exploring the local area, culture and restaurants, no way I'd do an AI that wasn't essentially a freebie. Do note they are all different. Some are poor quality, others are top notch. Some include only basics and you pay OOP for other options, some include everything you can think of. Just make sure you investigate and don't rely on DVC or trip advisors for most of your info.

AI options are generally much easier to trade into than are similar non AI options. Just make sure you know what you're getting into so you won't be surprised. Note that some resorts have meal plans that generally work similarly but better but will not be listed on the RCI website.

There are several in Cancun. One is called the Aventura Spa Palace and my niece is staying there for a week for her honeymoon. This is in May and I think she said the All-inclusive fee was a little over $1,000. But this includes EVERYTHING. So that fee and the exchange fee w/guest certificate came to around $1,200. Not bad for an entire week in Cancun that includes everything.
But it does depend on when you go. The fees differ depending on that. Good luck! :goodvibes

I would also look at how much it would cost to stay at the resort not through RCI. It would be a shame to use up a chunk of points to find out you could have booked the same thing close to what you are paying for the resort fees without using your points.

The fee there for this May is listed as $1907 for a room for a week on RCI's website.
The program includes all meals, beverages, activities, non-motorized water sports and transportation from & to the airport.
There are other Aventura resorts, some may be different prices. It is also not in Cancun but is south of Playa del Carmen. The reviews on TUG are fairly inclusive.
