Is there any way to get a VCR in my room? Can you rent one somewhere? We are staying Poly Con 6/2-6/8. Thank you.

hi: if i remember correctly, the polynesian should have vcrs in the rooms. i'm 90% sure they did the last time we stayed there.

We stayed at POR and they did not, but that is a moderate not deluxe so the Poly may have them. We brought one from home. You should probably call the resort directly.

:( I just got off the phone with a CM at the Yacht Club (wanted to check if YC had these amenities) and they do not provide VCR's, or coffee makers in the rooms, infact she said that you can't even request them:(

Just on a side note, we just came back from Disney Wonder cruise and they had great movies on all the time on the t.v. One channel is kid's animated Disney films and one is new releases, for example Beautiful Mind was playing. I really wish they would have these channels in the resorts, it was very nice. Good luck.

I believe the Polynesian (and other WDW resorts) only has VCR's in the concierge rooms. I know for a fact our garden view room at the Polynesian did not have one last July.

I always just bring a VCR from home if I'm going to be there more than a few days.

I called the Poly, they do not have VCR's in the room. You can rent from an outside company, Magical Video, $15 first nt & $10/nt after that + $5 pickup, YIKES! Oh well! The phone # is 1-800-393-1125.

For that price, you could go to the local Walmart and buy one cheaper!

I had the concierge at the AKL arrange for a VCR to be in my suite on my last trip. I think I rented it for three days and it was $30 (maybe a little more, I can't remember exactly). If you rent it for a certain number of days, the pickup fee is waived (as it was in my case). The concierge used an outside service.

It was very easy to hook-up the VCR. They even had a place for it in the door chest that housed the T.V. We made sure we brought the VCR cable with us and we didn't need an extension cord, we may have had to unplug a lamp though or something for an outlet.
