Can I get a better rate?

I just booked CBR for Feb 11-21 at $118/night including tax. That is with AAA, and I didn't think it was too bad. But I'm wondering if the rate would be better when the codes come out and if they are, I can call with the code to change it right?

The price sure beats rack. The best rate I ever got at CBR was 109.00 (tax included) for a KIng bed, that was on a room only code in both 2001 and 2002 during value season. I'd keep the rate and wait and see what else may come along and then see if the new rate can be applied. I have done this before with no problem.

I'm booked in a CBR king room for 99.24 (incl tax) with an AP rate for my upcoming trip during value season. That's 40% off rack rate. I was originally booked with a AAA rate which was 20% off rack rate.

Since the first day of your trip is value season (last day), your entire stay will be value season rates.

So, yes, it is possible you could get a better rate but hulabird's advice is good to keep what you have and hope that a code comes out for your timeframe. Even if you don't have an AP, some of the codes are for 40% off. But even if one doesn't come out the AAA rate you have is pretty good. I would have been happy with my AAA rate if the AP rates hadn't come out.

Hi DawnF316. Like Aprille, we also have the CBR reserved Dec. 13-20 at the AP rate of $99.24 including tax. This is for a preferred room. When I called, they only had preferred rooms available at the AP rate. If we would have been able to get a standard room it would have been $88.09 including tax. Im not complaining, I was tickled to death just to get the AP rate. I agree with Aprille; keep your current reservations as it still below the normal rate for that time of year. I would also keep checking back for a better rate. You never know when something might open up. :D
