Can I get 1BR at HH for 1/08 at 7 month window?

Husband and I are thinking of finally trying HH. (Pretty bad, we've been members since 2000, and live 40 minutes from HH!) We are thinking of going for 5 nights in a 1 bedroom in January 2008. We would arrive Sun 1/20/08, which is the day before MLK day.

We do not own points at HH, so can't book til the 7 month window. Do you think this week will be busy there? Anyone been there that time before? How was it?

Although we've never been in January, we have been in February (and March) and we've always been able to get a 1 BR by calling at the 7 month window. I think that one time we had to waitlist for a few days in March, but that came thru pretty quickly.

We got the first week of June (1 bdrm) doing a day-by-day at 7 months last December. So I would think your chances are very good.

We went the week after Christmas into New Year's this year and we got a 2 bdrm and a Studio at the 7 month window with out a problem. From what I have heard (never experienced) the 7 month is only hard during the summer months. Good luck and have a great trip
