I was at Costco earlier and they had the Dannon Activia yogurt on sale for $5 but the catch is the due date is in two days. I thought about buying some and freezing it and then just using it my protien shakes but wasn't sure if the yogurt would still be good after freezing.

What do you think?

Yes! I do these and use it in smoothies and I buy the kids Gogurts, freeze them and they eat them as a frozen snack.

Well, I freeze the go gurts, but I never really thought about freezing the cups.

I hope they are still there tomorrow! I can get 2 of those packages for the price of one and keep them in my freezer then!

Thanks!

I am sure it would still be safe to eat after freezing, but the active cultures may not be active anymore. So if you're expecting to get the GI benefits, freezing may not be ideal.

Should be a customer service # on the pkg...just call & ask.

We freeze go-gurts and the package says that they should be used by expiration date even if forzen

I regularily freeze yogurt cups and I have never had a problem with doing so. I tend to throw them into the freezer if they will expire soon and I can't eat them before the expiration date. I then take them from the freezer as I want one. I like to eat them when they are still slightly frozen.
