Can I exchange dirty sheets for clean ones ?

I believe what Deb is referring to is the fact that when you get something that should have been paid for, the membership as a whole has to pay for it with increased dues. This is a timeshare. One of the ways that costs are kept down is by reduced housekeeping. Not trying to speak for Deb, but this is what I got from her post.

:thumbsup2 Exactly.

:) I have extra towels in my OL. That way I am charged $100 a year instead of $6 for the towel package and $35 for the cleaning of my studio. :lmao:

If the towel package is $6, then shouldn't there be a $10-$15 sheet package? Somebody should tell Disney this! I've gotten the extra towels because I like having fresh ones when the ones I used yesterday are sitting in the washer. It just seems more vacation-like to me to be able to wash every other day rather than daily.
This upcoming trip we're having one set of friends come for the weekend, then a different couple taking their place in the 2nd bedroom on the Mon-Thurs portion. I'm planning on just asking for the full-clean of the 2 bedroom and asking my friends to pay for it. Or have them wash the sheets themselves - either way I'm sure they won't mind since they're staying at the Grand! ;)

Honestly I would never ask for clean sheets unless someone had been sick on them.

I would wash them myself and either put them or fold them and let the guest do it.

The more we contribute to keeping the costs down the better it is for all of us.

.

This happened to us at an AKV studio--DS was sick all over the sheets, and when I called, they said they would send extra sheets for a charge. Of course I agreed because it was a necessity-(late at night-- no time to wash and get back to sleep), but no charge appeared on the bill. I wonder if they just say that to discourage people from working the system. I have to say I was kind of upset with their response at the time. There are reasonable exceptions to every rule, I think.

i had the opposite happen when we stayed at AKV Jambo in Dec. They did not do the T&T day when they were supposed to. I called to ask for towels since we had left the dirty ones in a heap on the counter for them to take away. The CM said there would be a charge. I explained that I understood we should get clean ones on T&T day and that had not happened. She put me on hold and came back a few minutes later with an attitude and asked how many I wanted. I think the problem may have been that we had checked in and out several times due to having the DP for two nights in the middle of a 5 night reservation and it was when the computers were all down for the conversion and everyone seemed to have issues with keys etc. I would have washed them myself but we were in a studio and it was late at night when we got back and found no clean towels.
