Can I do this?

I recently transferred some DVC points into my account for a spring break trip. Now, I have found out that we have an out of town sports competition and I have a 4 day school field trip in the same month, so I'm beginning to re-evaluate the trip. I don't know if I can handle being away 14-15 days of the month and still try to be prepared to teach...

Anyhow, my thoughts are to move our trip to June as soon as school gets out. Here are my questions:

-Can I bank points I transferred into my dvc account? I think they are April or May 2014 points.

-If I bank them, that's not considered a transfer into 2015 is it? I may want to do another transfer into my account next year so don't want to mess that up

-Lastly, if we decide to go in June, can I book 2 units for the same dates with the same names? We'd like to have access at two different resorts for the amenities and location and want everyone in our party to have access to the room/pool etc with their magic bands. But we cannot all stay in one studio for the entire week because DD is bringing a friend and so we need the extra bath. It's actually cheaper to get 2 studios the week we want to go vs getting a 2 bedroom (or even a 1 bedroom depending on which resort we are looking at).

You can bank transferred points subject to the banking windows. The transfer would be counted for your UY in which you received them into even if you later banked them. You cannot book multiple rooms in the same lead name. It sounds like you'd be within the occupancy limits but if not, this could be a limitation. I can see the reasoning but I would not split up the group like this. IF I were going to do this and the occupancy was not an issue, I'd book both rooms and add the duplicate names later so as not to add confusion up front. IF the Dining Plan is involved, you'd have to get it for all listed in a given room.

I believe you meant to say you can bank transferred points, not borrowed. Just so others are clear (I know you are Dean) borrowed points remain in the UY to which they are moved, even with cancellations or altered bookings.

A word of caution, MS has difficulty keeping track of transferred points and using them on a reservation.

We transferred one time and will never do it again. MS caused us to loose a CL reservation while they tried to figure out how to apply the transferred points.

Keep detailed records at home just in case.
