Can I Do This?

We have a young couple in our church who is getting married next week. Her parents are giving them as a gift a trip to WDW with tickets as a surprise. They didn't do the DDP, because they were splitting the package with the grooms parents and they went thru a TA.

Here is the question: We would like to give them a dinner at CRT as a Wedding Gift. Her parents are giving them the trip as a gift at the rehersal dinner on Thursday, so they can get ready and pack. We know that they will be at the park on Wed. So, how do I do this? Can I call Disney Dining and put it on my CC and put the ressie in their name or is this going to be a problem? Can anyone give me any insight on this?

I would do exactly what you suggested and then verify with the bride and grooms' parents that they will be able to get the information so they know to attend the dinner. That is a really cool gift and you can cancel up to 24 or 48 hours in advance if something goes wrong.

this is what we did. i talked w/the bride's mom and decided on a time for the couple. we had already decided on jiko(the bride had eaten there and loved it). i booked the dinner; at the shower, our gift was the money to cover the meal,etc w/the day and time, of course. i think there might have been enough $ to cover a taxi ride to the resort. this worked well for us. good luck.

Just make sure the ressie is for the day that they are going to that park because if they don't have hoppers, they would have to use additional admission tickets to get to their ADR. Plus more convenient to eat in a park that you are already at rather than dealing with transportation, etc.
