Can I do this?

We are doing a split stay POFQ/Poly. We will have to get up 5am on arrival day and get to POFQ around noon. A lot of people said that Chef Mickey's was a great place to have your first meal, so I have first seating at 5pm. Now I am thinking that it will take us a long time to get there, and we may be starving and exhausted by 5pm, and CM isn't open for lunch.

Should I try to get into WC for a late lunch and do CM when we are at the Poly? or is the experience of CM worth the travel/going (maybe) cranky?

I think the CMs at dining probably know me by name now.. and I'm driving them crazy!...

Also, would it be awful to make a reservation for 2 or so somewhere (hopefully WC) and keep my 5pm ADR? I would cancel one when we knew what we were going to do, but it wouldn't be until that day.

Thanks!

CM is always worth it. WCC at lunch is not. dinner only, please.

I would go to Chef Mickey's for your first night. That would be a great way to start your trip. We did this a few years ago and really enjoyed ourselves. We stay at PO/POFQ a lot so it will be no problem getting to Chef Mickey's. Just take a bus from your resort to the MK and walk over to the Contemporary. It wonn't take more than 5-10 minutes to walk there, just follow the pathway over.

If you get alittle too hungary before 5pm get a small snack to tide you all over. CM will be worth the wait! What a great start!
