I am looking to go to WDW Sept 25 - 28 (3 nights). I want POFQ but it is not available for AP discount for those dates. But it IS available if I add on the night of the 28th (so book 4 nights instead of 3).

Can I book 4 nights to get the rate and then call back in a few days and drop the last night?

Thanks for any help!!

Thanks for the reply. I just called and changed my reservation from CBR to POFQ with the extra night. I will try to remove the extra night in a couple of days. I hope it works!

Yeah...I did that when booking our Free Dining trip this spring. I wanted ASMo for my son (he's a Toy Story nut) and they didn't have "availability" for the dates we are going but if I added a day it magically had a room! So, I booked it online and called later that week to say that my dh wouldn't be off work that last day and we would need to cancel that day....it was NO problem!! :)

I just wanted to update this. I called today and removed the last night. No problem, still got the other nights at POFQ for $99/night. I was even able to make some dining reservations at such late notice!!

The TS reservations don't seem to be as much of a hard time to make this year, maybe WDW is not allowing so many duplicate reservations like it seemed some were doing in the past. WDW does have some additional locations available this year as well, maybe that has helped. Glad you were able to get your nights!! Your reservation does over lap 2 AP offers, maybe that had something to do with why a problem with 3 nights. The first offer ends the night of Sept 27 and the new one starts on the 28th. I ended up with 2 reservations due to the different codes.

Well that's a pain. Do you have to check out and back in again? I had to go through my list of restaurants especially for the night of the 26th, but I am happy I was still able to get something!

I originally had a reservation for 8 nights starting Sept 26 with the first 2 nights at the AP rate. I asked then when the AP rates come out for Sept 28 forward can I apply the discount and keep the reservation. I was told YES. Well, when the new codes came out my answer was that I couldn't. I then had to book a reservation for the 28th to Oct 4. Originally the AP rate for the first 4 nights was 54/night and 74 for the last 2 nights. Two days after I made and reservation (2 might have to check out and back in but reservations are linked) the rate for the final 2 nights became 54/night as well. I tried to have them adjust the rate over the phone and 3 CMs refused to to this and told me "book it online" Well I did and got the rate, rates are still out there for that price according to WDW passholder section as well. When I called to cancel my 74 night reservation, the CM asked why I just didn't call to change it. It was like the twighlight zone. She finally cancelled it and I have yet to receive my deposit bacK (had to give another dep. online). I really just wanted her to apply the dep. from the cancelled reservation to my new one as well, but NO, she couldn't do that. I really never, in all my years of making reservations at WDW had all this trouble. CMs,in the past would TELL me of AP discounts. Sorry so long but I'm really bummed out about all this. In short, yes, I may have to change rooms, hopefully the front desk won't want a extra person there back to check in and they will keep us in the same room. HAve a wonderful time on your stay at WDW!!

I know this is referring the AP rates, but would this incl any disc code? I was wondering about the QXG? Our dates are 6-12th but If I were to extend it to the 20th (I know, not one night..it's 8 nights so maybe too many to book then call back and 'unbook') I can get the QXG rate.

What do you think?
